Arundel is home to some of the most beautiful sights in Sussex. Home to the Duke of Norfolk, Arundel Castle is one of the grandest and most cared for castles on the South Coast. The castle also boasts a private garden for visitors, displaying some of the most beautiful flowers and plants native to the UK. Perfect in Spring and Summer! Arundel Cathedral is another one of the gems of this small town with stunning architecture and regular services, it is certainly worth a visit. Parking is a little tricky in Arundel but there a lot of streets with free parking available. All along Maltravers St is free parking, however, if you cannot find something there, we recommend driving up the hill towards the Cathedral and you should find parking there. If still not, there is paid parking available behind The Swan pub at the bottom of the high street, and also along Mill Road opposite the castle.
Access to the property is via a smartlock system, giving convenience to arrive whenever suits you. Instructions will be sent 24 hours prior to your stay.
As it name may suggest, 'The Bakery' used to be the local bakery for the town of Arundel. In fact, the original bakery oven still exists in the kitchen of this unique property. ‘The Bakery’ is grade II listed building located at the top of the high street in Arundel providing accommodation for 6 guests. There are two bedrooms upstairs with king size beds and two full bathrooms. There is also an additional sofa bed located on the ground floor, with access to the first floor bathroom. The ground floor also contains the living area, complete with original painted wooden beams and a gas fireplace to enjoy on colder nights. On the lower ground floor is an impressive modern kitchen featuring the old bakery oven. There is a washing machine and dryer here alongside a cloakroom. The lower ground floor leads to the private patio, a perfect spot to have morning coffee or wind down in the evening when the weather permits!
Please Note: Due to the historic, quaint nature of this home, the property is over three levels and does have some steep narrow staircases which may be difficult for some guests. Please be aware when booking the property.

The cottage was ideally situated and close to the town. The accommodation was very comfortable it had everything we needed for our short stay. It was particularly lovely to have the courtyard and we were lucky enough to make use of this due to the nice weather.

Lovely stay
Great house in a perfect location. Spotlessly clean and very homely didn’t feel like a holiday let. Lovely big bed and great shower. Good choice of local restaurants. The stairs could be a problem for some people and towels were very thin. My personal choice but I would really have loved a little welcome pack crisps , wine etc. overall a lovely house in a great location. Arundel is lovely.

Beautiful property in a wonderful location , very clean, well equipped and cosy, beds and bed linen were heaven, kitchen with a wonderful island with stools underfloor heating and a sitting room with 2 big sofas, ideal for a cosy weekend . Lovely little courtyard garden and just off the high street so not noisy. Wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again if we visit Arundel

Perfect location with modern conveniences and charm
We loved our stay here and wish we had another day. One thing to note was check in instructions may be provided the day of and not before arrival. That caused a little bit of stress in but once I asked about when they would arrive they did quickly on a Saturday. Bedrooms were spacious and had queen beds as advertised with 2 showers, extra appreciated. We were around the corner from high street and lots of shops and restaurants and very close to Arundel castle. It was easy to walk for anything we needed. All and all a great stay.

Absolutely perfect!!!
Everything was nicely prepared, very clean and with highest standard.
It is possible to stop in the yard of the city hall next to the house, to unload/load the car, as there is a backdoor to the kitchen. Parking space was not a problem in the roads around. We had never more than 3 minutes walk.
The communication was also perfect and very fast and helpful.
