Amphitheater Located in northern Chile, the Atacama Desert is the highest and driest desert in the world. It has about 200 km of extension and in it hardly rains (Less than 2mm of rain per year). In one of its 15 oasis is the city of San Pedro de Atacama with about 3000 inhabitants and 2400 m of altitude. Volcanoes, salares, geisers, animals such as vicunas, llamas, guanacos, viscachas, flamingos and foxes, cacti such as cardón and mother-in-law's cushion, trees like tamarugo, chañares and carob trees make this place something unique and wonderful.
