Mid century birding trip

5 of us stayed very comfortably in this wonderful home. Cool mid century uniqueness and great location. Palo Duro canyon just 45 minutes away with all the conveniences of a nice neighborhood and big city food choices. Would stay again for sure.

Wedding weekend

This was the perfect house for our family. Everything we needed was provided. The fireplace was particularly cozy as we watched the snow fall in the courtyard. Matt was extremely accommodating and was very responsive.

Christmas in Amarillo

The house worked out great for our family of 8 from 3 states. Looks like pictures as shown. It is beautifully decorated. Great layout for places to be together or separate spaces for we could spread out some. I’m mostly impressed with the kitchen items. If you plan to do any cooking while there you will have some quality pots and pan, spatulas, utensils garlic press, lemon press and more. The neighborhood was a quiet and clean neighborhood. Quite a few in the area had Christmas lights. Amarillo was a great place for Christmas. I recommend this house, Amarillo Maxwell’s Pumpkin Farm for Christmas lights, Amarillo Escape and Mystery and Pablo Duro Canyon. Tyler’s BBQ was amazing, too.

Great Home Away

We LOVED this home away from home. It was perfect for our extended family to get together for Thanksgiving. The home is well taken care of, well stocked, and environmentally friendly. The care that has been put into this property is evident in every detail. We had everything that we needed and the host was thoughtful and thorough. The Mid-Centry Modern surpassed all of our expectations! Such a cool house with plenty of room to spread out. The basement was awesome! So fun! The home was very clean and well equipped. This home is one of our favorite VRBO stays, EVER! Communication with Matthew, the owner was great and we had no issues during our stay. I would HIGHLY recommend this house!!

Perfect gathering place

This property fit every need for our family. Unfortunately, we were in Amarillo due to the death of a family member. Each couple had their own private bedroom with all the amenities, but the two indoor living spaces, along with the fantastic ourdoor area was perfect for meal times and just being together during this time. Everyone loved the house! The kitchen had absolutely everything we could have wanted or needed! Super easy check-in/check-out. Would definitely stay here again if we were back in Amarillo!

BEST place ever!

What a beautiful, quality built home with so many amenities. Huge benefit for multiple families since there are two master bedrooms. The home was fully furnished with kitchen supplies from dishes, silverware to serving bowls, insta pot, pot pans, casserole dishes, spices...I could go on and on. Courtyard area was great to relax in after the day's activities.

A rare sculpturesque mid-mod gem w/ modern comforts, worthy of a design magazine.

Traveling with us were me/husband/2 kids 6&10/grandpa. I grew up in Amarillo, my father and I were in disbelief such an architectural jewel even exists in the city of Amarillo. The neighborhood is safe and spans from young families to the elderly. Husband went for morning jogs. The house was so beautiful in person we forewent a scheduled activity just to spend time in it. The acute angle of the floor plan and windows allows the watchful parent to keep an eye on the kids. Has the function of large open plan for that reason. Well stocked kitchen, plastic lidded cups available for the kiddos. Little mid-mod design Easter eggs abound. No squeaky hardwares, elegant water features, this home has clearly been lovingly and painstakingly restored. Husband had to do zoom conference calls, which he did alfresco, and got comments about the stylish backdrop. Wifi for a brief period was spotty, but overall met work needs. Every door, custom shutter, built in cabinetry will be appreciated by mid-mod fans. My 6 yrold was excited to discover “the secret room” ie the basement, which is the swankiest basement I’ve ever seen. The garden is serene. At times we forgot we were in Amarillo. Superb privacy with the front wall, making our family feel cocooned. Western touches as well, every bedroom is special. The host is excellently communicative, and was very considerate to a member of our party who has a disability. Framed instructions help orient you. Gold standard.
