Weekend Getaway

A True Slice of Heaven! Our stay at this lakefront cottage (Feb 14-15) was absolutely wonderful. The house was impeccably clean, and the cozy, inviting atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. The hot tub and back patio were pristine and provided the perfect serene escape—we loved unwinding there while enjoying the peaceful lake views. The owners were incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this gem to anyone seeking relaxation and comfort. We can’t wait to return!

Great Place

The amenities were just as listed. You get a better view of the little lake than you can tell from the photos. The area was quiet at night.Shoes off at the door was a little tricky, because it was at the top of the stairs. We carried our shoes down when wanting to go out back.Overall, great place and we would come back again.

Memories to last the Summer

Fishing from the dock, right on the lake, kayaking before breakfast, and enjoying the hot tub. Portage lakes is such a fun environment, we all had a wonderful stay. Those stairs coming down to the property are killer, would not recommend for 70 year olds.

Six night stay

Had a fantastic stay! Property is welcoming, well-stocked and perfect for families! We enjoyed all of the amenities and were pleasantly surprised that a couple items we needed were available. The kids enjoyed the games and kayaks; the adults enjoyed the outdoor space and appreciated the multiple sitting areas. The property owner was exceptionally responsive, accommodating and helpful. Beautiful location within the lakes for a relaxing vacation with older children and extended family!

We had a great stay here! The place was very clean and super cute. The location is wonderful and the view of the lake is beautiful. The host were amazing at communicating and very nice. Definitely would recommend and come back to!

Great house

My college friends and stayed here for a short weekend trip. It was a very nice and clean house. The property manager stayed in communication and was very helpful. We also hiked at Cuyahoga Valley NP which is only about 25-30 minutes away from the house. Over all we had a great experience and we would stay there again in the future!

Perfect getaway

I rented this for a small group of friends for my 30th birthday and it was the perfect retreat! It was a great size for the 8 of us and the property was beautiful!! The host was super responsive and was able to fix the temperature for us immediately when I reached out to say it was a little warm in the house. The only thing I would warn future guests about is a tiny 1” ledge that runs through the middle of the main area that we kept tripping on until we used a reflective piece of decoration I had brought on the step to help remind us. We had such a great time and I would totally book it again!

Great stay at the lakes for the eclipse

Wonderful stay in this lovely, comfy home on the lake. Everything was clean and kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Loved that we could bring our dog and that the yard is fully fenced. Would love to come back in warmer weather to swim & kayak the lake.

Family getaway, fun & relaxing

We stayed at this lake house while visiting our son at Kent State. It was the perfect place for our family to hang out together and enjoy some fun and relaxation. Very peaceful location with beautiful view, really enjoyed the hot tub on the deck. They had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay, beds were very comfortable, kitchen was fully equipped, and there are many board games which our family enjoyed. The host was quick to respond to messages and very accommodating when we had questions or requests. We ate at Tres Potrillos in Tallmadge on her recommendation and it was definitely the best Mexican food! We had pizza delivered from Upper Crust and ate at The Boathouse for breakfast and both were very good. We will definitely return for future visits to see our son, we could not have found a better place to stay.

Beautiful Lake Property

We spent one night for a friend’s birthday and even with our gloomy fall rainy weather, this property was a great place to stay! The hot tub is under cover and the place is a lot more spacious than the pictures show. It had a great view, plenty of seating and was very clean.

This a nice clean and quiet place despite being close to other houses. The location is nice as well. The mattress was terribly hard and the Wi-Fi signal was rather weak.

Home away from home!

Our stay was so relaxing! Everything we needed wad right at our fingertips, and the landlord was easy to contact and quick to respond to any questions. We couldn't have picked a better week to enjoy our stay. I highly recommend this lovely property to anyone wanting to get away for a few days like we did, or for an entire vacation stay when visiting Ohio!
