This is a unique spot in Agen. Previously a private home with lots of history and great decorations. The host is friendly and breakfast was a delicious feast. Easy and safe parking for bicycles.

If you are visiting Agen, France, Jacobins Castle Hotel in Agen, is your place to stay. At arrival we were greeted by the host, Stéphane and his amazing dog, Ulysses. The castle was charming, offers free parking. Our room was clean, welcoming and pink! We had a mini fridge, tv/cable and free Wi-Fi. For additional cost, we had a wonderful light breakfast served in the informal dinning room and the following morning, we enjoyed our breakfast on the outdoor terrace, listening to doves and breathing fresh air. If you want safety, dinner recommendations, a comfortable stay, and welcoming experience, you must stay at The Hotel des Jacobins.

Perhaps my favorite hotel experience ever?

A 200 year old Chateau in the center of the charming village of Agen. Talk about character! Host couldn't have been nicer. Spotless. Wonderful continental breakfast with fresh pastries cheese and the local specialty prunes. Reasonably priced. Wish we could have stayed longer! Bravo!

This is a family chateaux with walled in parking out front, now operating as a boutique Hotel. The owner still lives on site, and the rooms are generously large and very quiet at night. The parking was easy, and secured with a locked gate at night. Breakfast was a basic contental, more than sufficient for us. No fancy coffees though. We initially had difficultly finding the entrance, as Expedia says #2 when the gate is actually 180-degrees around the block at #1. But in retrospect, it should be very easy to find, with the gate facing the huge church (currently undergoing restoration). One downside: excellent hosts, very accommodating, but they smoke (mainly outside). So our room reeked of cigarettes. All else was wonderful, with good internet, strong shower, good heat pump, etc.

Meget hyggeligt chateau, lidt “støvet” på den gode måde. Lægger ikke op til mere end det kan holde, mulighed for at bruge Air condition hvis det ønskes, ellers åbner man vinduerne ud til lille hyggelig have/P område. Morgen mad serveres i hyggeligt område udenfor, eller i historisk lokale indenfor. Meget hyggelig atmosfære , bestemt et besøg værd.
