"I was initially very worried when I went to the Clubhouse to check in. That building is old and the restaurant wasn't even open. Lake Shasta Lodge

Mossbrae Hotel
"This is a beautifully restored property, done in an early 20th-century style, that made us feel like the developers understood what weary travelers need to feel cared for. In addition to the plush, firm but well-padded king-sized bed with an abundance of pillows, the suite featured a kitchenette ..."

Lakeshore Resort
"The cabins are advertised as lake view. Only one has a lake view, the rest have a view of a row of trailers between the lake and the cabins, there’s a pipe frame shelve along the narrow and only access to the bathroom so anyone over 5 feet tall will walk into it in the dark as I hit my face on it. ..."

"3 words: Charming, historical, peaceful. My family enjoyed a meandering road trip this summer, crisscrossing the state to visit caves, redwoods, state/national parks, waterfalls, and anything that Huell Howser would stop for. MCCloud was a great stop after Lassen, before we headed up to Lava Beds ..."

Mount Shasta Resort
"I was initially very worried when I went to the Clubhouse to check in. That building is old and the restaurant wasn't even open. It turns out that they have a bunch of beautiful rentals down the street on their own beautiful property. Our rental was super quiet and had 2 beds so m,y friend could stay with me. The beds were very nice as were the linens. I called and had more towels brought over and they did that right away. They do not come in everyday to clean the rooms etc and we liked that. We were only there 2 nights and did not need anything. I think the only issue I had was the toilet. It's like so low to the floor it was difficult at my age to get on it and get up as well. Thank you again for everything! Parking was very convenient!"
