Dillard House
"We got a free room upgrade. The gift shop is nice. The food is excellent, just a bit different the man it used to be. The entire complex is more upscale than it was previously. The only downside is that there is still construction going on."

Highlander Mountain House
"This is a unique old in. It is warm, cozy & full of rustic charm! The community area has low ceilings with old rough hewn beams & a fireplace that is burning all day.It never feels hot just comforting. Old portraits, interesting furniture and antiques. An unexpected feature is 1970’s vinyl, also interesting books. Our bunk house room had a record player with albums including Carol King’s Tapestry. The retro undertone added a pleasant vibe without being kitschy. Our room in the Bunkhouse was small for a king bed, a bit tight, no sitting room. I’m guessing the queen bedrooms would be a little more spacious. Still nice. The decor was late 19th century Native American prints and rich dark green walls, the bathroom was small but functional, the tub/shower could use some professional recaulking for appearance sake but all was clean. We stayed a second night and moved to the inn. The room felt airier and was more upscale, high ceilings, brighter, natural light and simple wallpaper. Bathroom was more spacious and updated. Outside areas are welcoming with nice plantings and you can have meals outside. The food is WONDERFUL, you definitely get your money’s worth. The hghlight is the staff. Every person is helpful, professional, warm & pleasant to talk to. They go out of their way to give you a pleasant experience and genuinely seem happy to work there. One note this is NOT a place for people with mobility issues. Bottom line we look forward to going back."
