First and foremost, the staff is what makes the experience memorable. I travel a lot and it's not often that I remember the names of hotel staff as easily and fondly as I do at Great Pyramid Inn. Aladdin was excellent in helping us to arrange tours with wonderful guides (Eman and Adel were incredible!) that fit our interests right away. Ali Baba remembered my coffee preference and had it made up right away whenever I came to the rooftop for breakfast. The rooms were tastefully designed and very clean, fridge was always stocked with bottled water, and toiletries were replaced by the staff after use. Common areas of the hotel are decked out in beautiful decorations. The balcony view from our room left me in absolute awe every single day. Although the blackout curtains were fantastic and keeping the room dark, I left them open just a little because seeing the light coming up and knowing the pyramids were right there was almost magical. Meals offered at the hotel were excellent. Ali Baba's recommendations were always on point, and the hotel food not only tasted better than any fast food options around, but was actually less expensive and served in bigger portions. If you stay at this hotel, I implore you to go to Frank Bazaar only a few steps to the right. Inside you will meet the kindest, sweetest shop owner named Fouad. You may visit for the lovely souvenirs, but you will stay because he IS a treasure himself. Do yourself a kindness and pay his shop a visit, too.
Best View Pyramids Hotel is a budget friendly hotel in Giza which is very close to the pyramids and surrounded by the local people there ( which is what I wanted but i should of thought twice about that because you get more then you expect ). The name of this hotel says it all! From the top deck you have a beautiful view of the pyramids. It is Located with the local people so you will see locals in their natural environment as well as camels & horses among other animals and things. I met Nana & the owner among several other staff on the property who were nice to me and others with me. I did experience a lot of people expecting tips for everything which is very annoying. This seems to be the way things run in Egypt though especially if you say your from the United States. Being that I left documents of personal tour guides I researched before I left the USA who only charge ( $90 to 120. USD for a day with you lunch included ) I decided to allow the Hotel who off these services to make them for me ( This was a mistake which was very costly to us ). So I highly recommend everyone to do your own research for a guide and any services you need or require before you go to egypt! also Uber is much cheaper ( under $5.00 USD per ride or less ) better then hiring an all day driver who expects to be tipped well daily & feed taking you to restaurants they could not afford them self's. Please bare in mind that $1.00 USD is $15.70 GYP. Do not tip past 5 to 10 USD & say NO a lot! PLEASE!
