Calico Landing is a private desert sanctuary set on two acres, surrounded by sculptural Ocotillos, tall Yuccas and iconic Joshua Trees. More than two hundred fifty native plants shape a living landscape where quail, owls and chipmunks move quietly through this peaceful corner of the high desert.

Inside, floor to ceiling glass brings the outside in, connecting curated interiors with wide open sky and rolling terrain. The living room blends modern desert style with layered textures, custom pieces and hand selected art, creating a warm and refined atmosphere that encourages slow mornings and gentle evenings.

Step onto the covered patio and gather around the fire pit as constellations rise overhead. Wander to the thirty foot heated pool and spa set among natural stone and native cactus gardens. Lounge chairs and umbrellas invite long afternoons by the water. The spa is complimentary upon request, and the pool can be heated for a nightly fee.

The primary suite is designed for deep rest, featuring a California King DreamCloud hybrid mattress, soft drapery and calming desert views. Its spa style bathroom includes a soaking tub and a teak floored rain shower for end of day renewal.

The second bedroom offers a hand painted desert mural and a Canyon Arched Canopy Bed with a plush queen memory foam mattress. A nearby bathroom with a terrazzo rain shower brings a gentle start to each morning.

The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking easy, with an electric range, dishwasher, retro style Galanz refrigerator, wine fridge and a coffee station with Nespresso and Chemex. A glass pantry stores yoga mats, games and outdoor gear to elevate every stay.

Enjoy sunrise coffee with mountain views. Float in the pool beneath endless blue. Watch the desert turn gold at sunset, then settle by the fire pit under a sky full of stars. At Calico Landing, every moment invites rest, clarity and a deeper connection to the quiet beauty of the desert

Guests have full and private access to the entire home and property, including the pool, spa, outdoor lounge areas and all interior spaces. You are welcome to explore the grounds at your own pace and enjoy complete privacy throughout your stay.

Please note that the first gate is reserved for maintenance access and is not available for guest use

You will have plenty of space to breathe here, yet we are always close if you need anything. If you want the best nearby hike, a restaurant with beautiful atmosphere or help planning a special moment, feel free to reach out and we will take care of it.

If you would like to arrive to stocked groceries, a bottle of something special or fresh flowers on the table, simply let us know in advance and we can arrange it. This is your desert escape and we want every part of it to feel effortless

Ubers/Lyfts are typically hard to find in the area. We have a local service ‘Rides’ that just started up. Please reach out for local contact information.

Your next best option would be to book a taxi from the below services or rent a car. There is a an Enterprise rental car location a few blocks from the property. We can also help setting up a car service, with plenty of affordable options for Coachella attendees.

The heated spa is included with your stay, offering a peaceful place to unwind beneath the desert sky. Pool heating is available for an additional nightly fee. Please request it when booking, or at least twenty four hours in advance, so the water is warm and ready when you arrive.

The home is located on a scenic hillside, reached by a well maintained dirt road that is suitable for standard vehicles. Drive slowly, take in the views and let the calm of the desert settle in as you make your way up. To preserve the tranquility of the area, quiet hours begin at ten p.m. out of respect for our neighbors.

By making this reservation, you acknowledge that you and the guests in your party have read, understand and will comply with all house rules. You also acknowledge and accept that the host has the right to keep the security deposit amount in full, if any of the rules below are not adhered to.

* NO PETS ALLOWED. You will be asked to leave if you arrive at the property with a pet.

* No smoking inside the house. This includes the use of tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, vape, etc. There will be a $1000 charge minimum for any smoking in the house.

* No fires indoors or outdoors, including candles, except for the provided propane fire pit. Please ensure to read and follow proper fire pit use in the guest manual.

* No unregistered guests are allowed on the property at any time. Only 4 registered guests are allowed per stay. All guests must be cleared by hosts before check in. If discovered that more guests have been found, there is a $300 fine.

* No more than two cars are allowed on the property at a time without permission. Cars may only be parked in designated parking areas - never alongside the roads/drives. If the renter wants to seek permission to vary from any of these occupancy and/or parking requirements you must receive permission ahead of time from the owner.

* We have really poured our hearts into this property and have put a lot of thought into the pieces we have selected, some being one of a kind. Please take care of the furnishings, any damages that exceed the security deposit will have to be paid in addition, out of pocket.

*If the BBQ Grill is utilized, it must be cleaned before departure. Used grills that have cooled w/ dried food take a lot of time for the cleaner to prepare for the next guest. An uncleaned grill will incur an additional $50 cleaning fee.

* Parties or gatherings of any kind are not allowed on the premises - we have plenty of bars/restaurants to recommend for parties. Guests who are reported for throwing a disruptive party or violating our rules on registered guests of more than 4 people may be subject to cancellation and removal from the property.

* Quiet hours (10PM-8AM) Sound travels very far in the desert; no music or loud noises after 10pm.

* Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet, we are on a sensitive septic system (no wipes of any kind, feminine hygiene products, paper towels, etc.)

* No professional photoshoots or videos allowed unless given written permission by the owners. Please inquire with the owners regarding any photoshoots on the property.

* We like to keep the floors and rugs nice and clean, we appreciate you keeping your shoes off in the house.

* No Firearms. No illegal drugs. No drones. No off-road vehicles. No Camping.

The owner may withhold all or part of the deposit if any of the house rules are broken. Cause for withholding deposit funds include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Damage to the premises or contents
• Missing items requiring replacement
• Excessive cleaning required
• Not complying fully with the `before you depart` checklist
• Lingering smell of smoke
• Charges for mailing personal items left behind
• Evidence of more persons using the property than were authorized
• Evidence of a pet being present
• Unauthorized late check out

POOL RULES

For this rental the following must also apply:
* Adult supervision is required for anyone under the age of 14.
* All drinks must be served in unbreakable containers.
* No excessive noise - please be considerate of your neighbors.
* Users must shower prior to using the pool and spa.
*The heated spa is included in the nightly rate - the pool can be heated at an additional fee. Please inquire at booking and always give 24 hrs notice for heating.
* DO NOT tamper with any pool equipment. If you are seen tampering with equipment you will be charged $100 per incident.
* PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANY SUBSTANCES IN THE POOL/SPA. If you are found adding anything to the water in the pool/spa you will be charged a $500 fee to cover the cost of filter changes and tile cleaning.
* Pool maintenance is every Wednesday to make sure everything is clean and working properly.
* NO LIFEGUARD WILL BE ON DUTY - YOU SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.

- THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT A LEASE AND CONVEYS NO RIGHTS IN REAL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. Your sole right to use the property begins with the 3:00 PM Check-in on your day of arrival and ends at the 10:00 AM Check-out on your day of departure.
- The high desert occasionally has power outages and internet outages. We are not responsible for any general outages from Southern California Edison and Spectrum. No refunds of any kind will be given during these events.
- Guests shall allow the property owner or any designated workers access to the property for landscaping and routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs and building inspections, Propane tank refilling and pool service.
