I stumbled across this hotel when planning a road trip. The themed rooms seemed funny and kitschy. My husband loved the idea of them, so I booked it. We stayed in the jungle room. It was very dark and a bit dingy. The light switches were hard to find with some having no apparent purpose. The stone floor felt dirty at all times. My husband was very interested in bathing in the large tub. However, the jets did not work and appeared unclean. Jet baths like this need deep cleaning and can be difficult to do. They don’t seem to be doing that here. The property is cleanish. There are mismatched tables and chairs around the pool that aren’t cleaned regularly. Table bases without tops are scattered around. The hot tub was only lukewarm. WiFi service was terrible. Because we work when we travel, this was a big negative.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The shower and linens were clean. The bed was comfortable. We wanted to like this hotel, but it fell short. The biggest disappointment was the cost. You have certain expectations at this price point and they did not meet them. Not worth to cost.
