We like Yampa! We loved the people who helped us check in and cooked our food in the cute little diner. However, run down areas around the place. Trash cans overflowing, the entry from outside not work with passkey. People were propping the doors open. The ac/heater was noisy the rooms and halls very stuffy, carpets need shampooing.

Good location

Pros: Location; it's the only game in town.
Cons: This is a budget place, I don't expect more than what we got, which was fine. Priced much less than the ski resorts on either side.
Location: Pretty desolate out here, wasn't looking for anything other than food and rest after skiing Steamboat, getting ready for Beaver Creek.
Unusual situation, check-in at diner. Problem with shower, very low pressure, leaking connections, water hot enough though. Great location; 1-night stay was fine. Convenient, close parking. Poor cell-phone service here, and even the Wi-Fi was spotty, couldn't get my I-pad to work with it. Otherwise no complaints. Not expecting a High-dollar hotel! Not a lot of bed or food choices between Steamboat and Vail area, this fit the bill nicely. Room clean, comfortable.
