The location right alongside the Bighorn River was absolutely beautiful. However, the hotel is an historic update, and although my room was adequate, the lighting was not very good, the door was extremely squeaky, and the window curtain didn't work correctly. But, nevertheless, I recommend it.

The shower had dirty washcloth left in it, and a dirty towel left on the floor, and the conditioner dispenser didn't work. There was mold or something growing on the ceiling in the shower and a broken tile on the floor. The air condtioner was also loud and woke me up all night turning off and on. I thought about turning it off and opening a window, but the screen was torn and i didn't want to let it a bunch of bugs.

Wonderful historic property

I have stayed here several times. It is one of my favorite hotels because of its character. It is an historic property located in Hot Springs Park and thus part of the park’s history. Nice rooms and good breakfast as well.

Non-functioning tv. Non-functioning curtains. Micro-sized pillows were too soft. Very good breakfast. Very good shower. No parking in lot were going to resurface it....no warning/explanation until I dragged the details out of them. Needs a lot of upkeep.

It was unique. However, not updated or with modern amenities. No elevators or access for handicapped. I have a torn meniscus and bone fragments in my knee. Our reservation was for a first floor room but we were put on the second floor. Stairs only. Ice machine out of order. No centra air. A unit with a pipe going out an open window. It stopped working off and on all night. After trial and error it needed to be shaken very hard several times before it would start working again. No one explained what to do when it stopped working. There was a thermostat and vents but not working or not being used. The smell from the hot spring hot tub was very strong and not great if you have migraines. Also not mentioned on the site where we booked the reservation. Not trying to be difficult but these are things a person should know before booking a room. We could have looked elsewhere but expected Best Western standards not small local unkept hotel experience. We could have booked that and supported a local hotel if there were no other options.

Historic building with its own hot-spring-fed outdoor hot tub with enough room for many -- and right near it, a normal outdoor pool for a cool plunge. The hotel is literally inside the Park. The breakfast bar is ample & fresh. The beds were clean & comfortable. The hotel is well maintained & the staff peasant & knowledgeable. Would definitely stay again!

Okay, but priced a bit high

The hotel is historic and has some limitations- unusual air-conditioning, very tempermental water temps in the shower (low pressure too), but very comfortable bed.

Best Western is in above old building facing a park and steps away from the Hot Springs which most people come to Thermopolis to enjoy. Even better, it has a private spa with the volcanic water so if you don’t want to go to the public facilities you still can benefit from the healing waters.
