• Outdoor Activities: Chisholm Creek Park and the adjoining Great Plains Nature Center, in northeast Wichita, offer paved trails, boardwalks over the wetlands, and plenty of wildlife viewing. Downtown, the Keeper of the Plains plaza links to riverside walking paths at the confluence of the Arkansas rivers, while the expansive Sedgwick County Park on the west side adds lakeside trails and open green space for a longer outing.
