Curtains were broke andbwe had to use a haur clip to keep it closed. Beds were uncomfortable, carpet was damaged in areas where it was obvious it had flooded from the bathroom and had left mold. Rooms definitely needed updating.

Nice hotel but has defective smoke alarms

The hotel room and facilities are new and nice. However, the front desk knocked on our door at 2 am and tried to come in when we didn't respond. Apparently this hotel has faulty smoke alarms that keep alerting the front desk that various rooms are going off. They just explained it to me and no one apologized. I could not get back to sleep.

Convenient to the SiUE campus and sits on a pretty hill with a view of St Louis in the background. Breakfast was above average for a hotel of this class with multiple hot protein options each morning. Staff was friendly and overall it was a clean property. However the shower had a collapsing ceiling and mold residue in the corners. Also bathroom was very dark which was disturbing.

The front desk was kind and helpful, especially Jerry, who helped us with our room drapes. The only thing should’ve had more closer parking to the door for handicap and not People in the silver or gold club
