No standard continental breakfast, shower water won’t get warm enough, breakfast is grab and go, they ran out of certain supplies, lobby under renovations, 2nd floor under renovations, construction pods and debris all over , makeshift front desk, not very vacation friendly and way too overpriced for a hotel under construction inside. Also there were some construction workers walking around. Unable to use laundry facilities because of construction - not happy with this stay

Under renovation but still great hotel
We enjoy staying at this hotel every time we travel to see family in the midwest. The hotel room interior is very clean and modern. We appreciate the amenities that they offer with the hotel like the indoor pool, gym, and being pet friendly. However, it looks like they are going through some renovation as the whole second and parts of the first floor were off limits due to construction. We had to stay on the 3rd floor which was a little cumbersome due to our dogs needing to be let in and out. It also affected elements of the complimentary breakfast. They didn't have their normal spread as they've had in the past but they did offer some to-go bags for breakfast. The front desk was also moved to the back due to the makeover so you'll need to drive around back to check in. All in all, even with the construction going on, the room was great, quiet, and the pool made our family happy. We'll definitely stop here again when we travel this way again.

Keep looking, its in renovation and a mess
Don’t stay here. It’s under renovation and a mess. They are still charging full price. I thought the elevator was going to collapse it sounded so rickety. The renovated room itself is nice comfy bed, soft sheets, great layout but until the entire hotel is complete I would suggest going elsewhere. I just stayed at a renovated HIE a few nights before and it was great so I am sure this will be too, it’s just a disaster now.

All as I recall was good but there was no breakfast available this trip and I felt that they should have given guests a heads up. I would have slept in or left at a different time...It was a big disappointment that would have been easy to remedy.
