Cabins at Walnut Creek #2
We are on 20 acres and 2 cabins for rent on our property. The pool, palapa, and outdoor kitchen is a short walk from the cabin and located next to our home. This area is shared with both cabins and newly opened rv park guest. I have had several people ask about hosting parties, baby showers, etc. Anyone not included in the reservation should not be on property without permission from the host. Maximum number of guest for this cabin is 8. Front door opens to a furnished living room. On cold nights don't hesitate to use the wood burning fireplace. The master suit has a queen size. Tuck the kiddos into their rustic bedding in the loft area over looking the living room after they have had a day of swimming and playing outdoors. In addition to the master suite and loft area there is another bedroom upstairs with a queen bed. The kitchen is not just spacious and equipped with all the necessities it is stocked with fresh on site farm eggs and sausage. Other amenities include a rock swimming pool, his and her pool side restroom/shower facilities, palapa, outdoor kitchen, fishing and fitness center.

Our weekend was nothing short of amazing! The property was perfect and exactly what was listed. The hosts were friendly and great at communicating, and even came out to briefly join us by the beautiful pool one evening. We picked this cabin due to its proximity to the Renaissance festival - which is a short 15 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend, and we hope to book again next year!

The cabin was fine but the stay was terrible. After the owner coming over and harassing us the first night, and realizing that some creepy guy was sleeping in the garage/shed on the property, we wanted to leave but had nowhere to go.
I should also say that I’m 40 years old and I had my two kids with me. We were in town for a wedding.
At one point the bride and groom stopped over to say hello during the middle of the day… at that point the owner showed up and came onto the property. He very aggressively started questioning us about whose cars these were and who was here. We explained that someone had stopped by to say hi and that they would not be staying the night. He became enraged and told us that no one was allowed on the property, outside of Those of us staying there. He kept interrogating and questioning us in a very angry and aggressive way. I was so shocked and almost in tears I did not even know what to do. I had to threaten him with the fact that I myself was a doctor and that I could afford a lawyer, in order to even get him to leave the property.
Then later that night as we were sitting outside we saw the creepy guy emerge from the garage/shed. Obviously he is some type of groundskeeper that is living there, this was not told to us.
The owner is living in a trailer on the property and he has workers living there. Basically there is someone spying on you at all times and just keeping tabs. They may show up at any time and harass you. We were not told of any of these people living on the property until we saw them ourselves.
Hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at a property, as an adult woman. This person is not fit for Vrbo. They should know better and do better.
Lastly, if you want to use the pool or grill, again prepared to be watched and harassed.
You should only rent this place if you want to stay in the cabin and keep to yourself, not if you want to use any of the rest of the property. Good luck!
We loved this place. Everything was so clean. We loved the Fall decorations. The kids really enjoyed the geese and pond. It was so nice to also have a list of things you were allowed to feed them. It was also so close to the Renaissance Festival! Wonderful time. Thank you! We will stay again!
They have thought of everything. Both cabins were very clean, very cute, and perfect to relax. It’s also only a 15 min drive to the Texas Renaissance Festival. The geese were hilarious, and the hosts provided us with eggs that we ate in the morning. It was rainy while we stayed so we really wished we could have made use of all the fabulous activities—fire pits, a pool and hot tub, fishing, lovely seats by the pond. It feels remote in all the best ways. Highly recommend. My friends agreed it was one of the best VRBO/AirBnbs we’ve ever stayed at.
