La nôtre faisait référence à Guillaume le conquérant: lit à baldaquin, armure sur le buffet... Les petits-déjeuners sont formidables, copieux et "maison". Les hôtes sont charmants. Nice B&B

I spent 5 nights at Manoir de Pontfol when in the Normandy region for a wedding. I had the "Pirate Room" which was great. Spacious, clean, quiet and the décor was fun. The building is over 100 years old and the couple running the manoir as been restoring it over the last 4 years. It's off the beaten path but near enough to a few nice towns, gardens and calvados distilleries.

A Great Deal of attention to Detail

We took 2 rooms, they were different from each other and quite quirky. It was possible to bring the car quite close to the room which was very convenient for unloading/loading. The whole courtyard was like a lovely old farmyard. The dining room and breakfast were very special. Our only problem was there was nobody around when we arrived at 5.30pm (which was the check-in time stated on our itinerary) and no information on where to find anyone, and nobody to answer the phone. Apparently an email had been sent saying 6pm but we didn't see this amendment. And in any case 6pm was too late for us to arrive as it was dark and we were on bicycles. This could have been a problem if the weather had been bad.
