Don’t stay in the Sword room. There is no bathroom, only one chair and no table. The closet is super tiny. House needs updating inside. It is quiet.

I am sorry you weren’t happy with JM Swords. We try to be very up front that it is our smallest room and that the bath room is across the hall. There is a living room for lounging. We are not going to update out of the character of the house. It was standing in 1833. Thank you for staying with us.

Love this place!

This place is a small cottage in the historic district of Vicksburg. There are only two guest rooms. The one we stayed did not have an attached bathroom, but the bath was not shared. You just had to walk through the front hallway to get to it. I did not have a problem with this. There is a big claw foot soaker tub that was wonderful. There is a shared living room but we never even saw the other guests except out the window when they were leaving. Breakfast is served at another location a few blocks away. You dine in the historic Duff Green Mansion. Breakfast was quiche and a small fruit cup, with buscuits. After breakfast you get a guided tour of the mansion, which was used as a hospital during the civil war. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area.
