The last Romanov family were deported to Yekaterinburg following their arrest in Alexander Palace in Saint Petersburg, and under the orders of a Bolshevik leader Yakov Sverdlov, they were eventually shot dead in the basement of the Ipatiev House (Where the Church on Spilled Blood was build upon). Their bodies were then subsequently dumped and cremated in Ganina Yama.
