This was a very homely and comfortable property on a super quiet canal, but only moments from public transport (vaporetto) and fabulous cafes and restaurants in Cannaregio. It is a pleasant walk or boat ride away from all of the tourist sights, but benefits from a location that feels a bit more authentic. The local canal side fishmarket, just a couple of minutes walk away is fabulous and it is a pleasant walk to Despar supermarket in a converted theatre for daily essentials. We would love to return to Venice again and would certainly like to stay at Nati’s house next time!

Paolo’s place is in Cannaregio, on a small canal in an authentic Italian residential area, but only a few minutes walk from the Guglie water bus stop, so very convenient. We bought a 48 hour water bus pass and went to the island of Murano, St. Mark’s Square, and Rialto Bridge area. The neighborhood is very quiet at night, which was a nice break from the crowds of the tourist areas. We walked from our place to the historic Jewish ghetto neighborhood, through the streets, to where the canal meets the sea. The apartment was well equipped, the bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed having a balcony overlooking the canal. I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking to stay in Venice.

Wonderful location near the drop off from the airport. Plenty of space for 2 people and very clean and quiet. We loved walking every where. I would recommend this location. Picture is taken from the small balcony in the evening.

Perfect place to feel part of Venice

The apartment was exactly as described in a peaceful, residential area, so you really felt you were experiencing the real Venice. Staying for 12 nights allowed us to explore and walk to all other areas of Venice. Our own little piece of Venetian paradise, and we would love to return as soon as possible. There is no air conditioning, which we chose not to have, so we could acclimatise, but staying in June was not as hot as it would be in August. Check-in was perfect, as was communication and advice. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when we return, if we could have rated our holiday as 10 stars, we would have. Thank you, Paolo, for all of your help and for letting us stay.

A Nice Apartment in a Great Location

We were given extensive and clear instructions on how to access the property. Any questions were answered in a timely manner. The property was very nice and clean and the bed comfortable. I enjoyed the patio to sit and read or just enjoy the surroundings. The washing machine was welcome so we could do some laundry. It’s also in a good location close to restaurants and shopping, yet our property is in a quiet neighborhood. Would definitely book again.

Tolle, kleine Ferienwohnung die über alles nötigste verfügt in absoluter Top-Lage. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber lief einwandfrei und die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben. Die Umgebung ist ruhig, hauptsächlich von Locals bewohnt und ein echter Geheimtipp. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Perfect spot on the little canal

The apartment was just as portrayed. The neighborhood was quiet & safe. Very short walk to many excellent family owned restaurants. The water bus was close and easy to use. We enjoyed sitting on the little balcony watching the boats go by or just enjoying the canal. We would definitely come back here again.

Das war nicht optimal Paolo hätte sich nicht wohlgefühlt

Paolo sollte investieren!Das Bett ist eine Katastrophe - eigentlich nur ein Metallgestell mit schlechten Matratzen. die Oberdecke ohne Bettbezug. Die Couch in der Küche schmuddelig und ausgeblichen. Es war die ganze Zeit kalt in der Wohnung zum Wohlfühlen bitte 21 Grad. in der Dusche praktisch kein Wasserdruck! Handwaschbecken spritzt nach allen Seiten. Die Toilette war bei unserem Ankommen bereits unappetitlich benutzt. Auf unseren Hinweis folgte keine Entschuldigung.Sorry aber 180 EUR die Nacht ist dafür einfach zu viel. Hier wird Venedig für Kurzaufenthalte ausgenutzt.

3 nights in Venice

Paolo was very informative for check-in and arrival details. This quaint, quite, fully equipped apartment is perfect for two. Pictures represent the apartment well. The area is easily accessed by water taxi and within 20 min walking distance of most must see sites. Although the bed was a little hard for our liking we still enjoyed our time at this lovely apartment.

Appartement idéal pour visiter Venise

L'appartement est vraiment bien situé dans le Cannaregio, près d'un arrêt de vaporetto et de plusieurs bons petita restaurants. Le quartier est très tranquille, loin de la horde de touristes. Le petit balcon ajoute une touche charmente au séjour à Venise. L'appartement est confortable, le lit était un peu mou selon nos préférences.

Idyllic

It was a simply wonderful stay in Venice!! The apartment is comfy and had everything we needed. The bedroom is huge! The balcony off the living room was stunning. We slept with the windows open...and I swear you could hear a pin drop...so quiet away from the crowds. Restaurants nearby and vaporetto stop maybe a 3 minute walk...Rialto bridge area was less than 10 minute walk.

Amazing neighborhood!

The location is perfect, close to many local restaurants and removed from the busy tourist areas. Easily accessible to the train station and vaperetto. The flat is clean and comfortable, the terrace is perfect and a great way to end your day exploring Venice.

Amazing location

The perfect location, quiet street with beautiful view. Was very hot (August) and no Air conditioning, but lots of Fans were provided which was nice to have. Great amenities in the apartment & great kitchen set-up. Host was quick to help us and communicate, very kind and helpful. I would stay here again.

Quiet location

Stayed three days. Conveniently located. Such a quiet area!!! After you have been in the crowds of Venice it is wonderful to come back to this place. We had an issue with getting into apt but Paulo was on it right away and able to resolve issue.

Great stay

Great stay. Property manager was amazing at communicating , answered right away. Cute area. Cute balcony. Cute colors. Nice living room and kitchen. Cute bedroom. (Bed was split in the middle but noticed this is a common thing in Italy) Now this isn’t their fault but my own, I hadn’t realized this place doesn’t have AC, I would highly not recommend this location during summer/early fall. Thank god for the fans. But it was really really humid in there and we woke up sweating almost every morning. I don’t blame them at all for this though I just wouldn’t recommend during the summer. Personal preference: there’s one painting of a little boy and his mom in the bed room that is sooooo creepy. Lol Overall: great experience.
