Book a hotel near Val Gardena, Trentino-Alto Adige

"This place was ok. The highlights were the staff and the location, and Café Karin across the street. I booked this place through Expedia and it was not clear that this was resident apartments, not a hotel. The residences are charged extra for parking, for the use of the spa, use of bath robes, etc. These place is also very noisy.... because of the tile halls you can hear every conversation, door closing and footstep from the halls. There were young kids running and screaming down the halls in the morning and drunk people partying all night in the hotel bar screaming down the halls. I booked a massage in the spa which is near the children's play room so instead of a relaxing hour, I heard kids screaming and adults conversing right outside the space..... not a good set-up. Also, the beds are futons and the mattresses have a permanent impression in them so it wasn't very comfortable. I wish Expedia gave me the option of booking the hotel versus the apartments because what we got was not the kind of holiday we were looking for. If we return to Val Gardena, we will stay elsewhere. "

"This is one of my favorite places I’ve stayed in a while. It’s is quaint, cute, and roomy. The staff is helpful and friendly. St. Cristina is an amazing village. The breakfast buffet is perfect with so many choices. The pizza restaurant and steakhouse are both top notch. Additionally, the ski lift and gondola are an easy walk. We will stay here again. "

"PROS: -Large apartment, very well equipped, with a balcony offering a BEAUTIFUL landscape -Includes parking -Good location. The town itself is beautiful and very peaceful. We booked here because Ortisei was full, and in the end we liked St. Cristina even more TO IMPROVE: -Cleaning is not included, and they charge EUR 55 if you don’t wash the dishes and take out the rubbish -Check-in is 100% self-service, which feels a bit uncomfortable at first, but in the end everything worked smoothly and quickly"

"Solo ski trip first week in March. Hotel Jägerheim is an outstanding choice! Staff, comfortable room, food, and strategic location for skiing all exceeded my expectations. Opting for half board is a solid choice: the food is innovative, diverse, and locally focused. Outstanding. In practice, I chose to opt in for 4 out of 7 days since I also wanted to check out the outstanding food scene for leisurely lunch on the mountains (thus skipping the evening meal). Also amazing: the close coordination with local vendors recommended by the hotel: taxi, ski guide / instructor, ski rental. Dolomiti ski pass is delivered to your home (optional). Rental skis are picked up at the and of your stay. Spa facility is much nicer than expected. Spa services with Gloria are first rate. Again, follow the hotel's advice for best experience. I now live in Europe and travel a lot internationally. After a trip, I always ask myself whether it was worth it and whether I would do it again. In this case, absolutely! Highly recommended. "
