La Maison d'Uzes
"Small rooms, no elevator, limited amenities (no outdoor space, no pool - told it’s now being built). Staff was very friendly but not well trained. They failed to make car rental reservation after sending me a confirmation that all was arranged. Housekeeping just okay. Really more a 4 star experience ..."

Hotel Le Cloitre St Louis
"The hotel is split between a new building and an old building built in 1589. We were in the old building. Our room was quite large, especially by European standards with very high cieling typical of old buildings. We had a modern w/c and bathroom, and lots of racks and shelves for cloths. The room was spotlessly clean, but the paintwork on the windows (origial to 1589?) and the closet doors needed a refresh. Breakfast for 18 Euros was excellent. There is a pool with a sizable deck on the roof of the hotel, but it was closed for the season in late October. The hotel is well located just inside the city walls, a short walk from the railway station(not the TGV station), and about a 15 minute walk to the Papal Palace. There are lots of restaurants nearby."

Avignon Grand Hotel
"Great location to have easy access to the train and transfer for river cruise."
