Close to Parque Marimba in Tuxtla

Pros: It is downtown. Latin charm.
Cons: In room lighting and amenities. A coffee service in the lobby in the morning.
Location: It is near Parque de Marimba. There is a restaurant near the park, Restaurante de Parque, which offers very good breakfast and other entrees.
Hotel del Carmen is about two blocks from Marimba Park in downtown Tuxtla. It offers dining and banquet services. Just past the entry is a courtyard patio with rooms along both sides on three floors, which offer a real Latin-American atmosphere. Each room is named after one of the states of Mexico. Room lighting is low. Two blocks to the park and some very good dining. Upon our arrival, we were given only one bottle of water for two occupants. Fortunately, there is a water dispenser on the first floor where one can access additional drinking water. The staff is helpful and friendly.
