The Wyndham hotel was conveniently located for our visit to Sequoia National Park, the staff was friendly, and the maids were excellent. However, the bar/restaurant didn't open until 5pm and the menu was very limited. In addition, the sketchy people camping and fighting in the back of the parking lot didn’t foster feelings of safety. Everything could have been perfect and I still wouldn't give the best of ratings because they charged us for our stay and then said it would take 10 days to refund us. Mistakes sometimes happen, but to make things worse, they double charged our son and daughter in law. I don't know anyone else who booked with Expedia and had that happen. Pretty disappointed as I expected more from a Wyndham.

We stayed one night before going to Sequoia NP the next day. Check-in was easy, and the girl at the desk was very friendly. The room was clean and the beds were comfy, perfect for a one night stay.

I would’ve given 5 stars except the bartender was super unfriendly and the front staff wasn’t that great either. We went to dine in the restaurant and he made it very clear how busy he was and we would need to wait and made us feel very unwanted. The bartender seemed to also double as the waiter for a large restaurant with many patrons. So they need to hire more staff!!!!! If that experience didn’t happen, I would’ve given the hotel a five star rating. I was pleased with every other aspect of the hotel and I have stayed in many Visalia hotels right in the area. I would still definitely return to this hotel despite of the restaurant incident.
