Great location and the room was nice but the carpet needs replacing and that's true of lobby. I'm coming back; however you really need to renovate all outside areas. Really dirty and unclean especially elevators.

Helpful front desk personnel

Pros: Modernized bathroom with wood appearing tiles. Comfortable shower.
Cons: I was in room I-635 and water did run out of the shower. That area needs to be caulked and perhaps a barrier installed to prevent damage outside.
Location: The on-site restaurants where delicious. I did not leave the resort.
The front desk person, I'm sorry I can't remember his name, was very helpful when checking in and when he found out I was with a conference, complimented me by removing the daily resort fee.

Staycation 2018

The hotel staff from start to finish make an effort to ensure u have a great time. Hotel & the grounds r beautiful and we will come back. Any suggestions I would make is to offer healthier food options at the pool (quesadillas/chips/chicken fingers r hard on a girl!) - I've had arugula /watermelon/shrimp salads offered at other hotels & its a hit (easier in the waistline too!) Last suggestion is additional hotel staff at check in & out especially when u have huge groups arriving.

Nice campus, customer service lacks

We stayed in Exec Suite. Could hear walking in room above us. Our room while spacious had musty odor. Customer service lacking. Many staff barely speak English and don’t know answers to questions. Mineral pool out of order. Very disappointing. Food at hotel restaurants just expensive and just ok. Campus beautiful. Lap pool dirty. We would have to think about if we would return. Liked JW and Westward Look better.

Relax and enjoy.

Pros: We enjoyed the view from our room looking over the 18 hole of Canyon.
Cons: Travelocity arranged Diamond Back town car pick up and return. I do not recommend this service. Late on pickup and didn't show up for return.
We stayed one week at La Paloma. We enjoyed the golfing experience, lap pool, and local cuisine. Tennis courts were available but we didn't get a chance to play.

Lovely Resort for Christmas

Pros: It was a beautiful resort in every way and the entire staff was very cordial and attentive. They could not have been nicer.
Cons: Give the dining room some ambiance & tray service. Improve lighting + candles. Give servers ipads for orders to the kitchen reduce the miles they run
Location: Sabino Canyon Hike. Amazing beauty!
The Resort was lovely and the service was extremely attentive and friendly, from the Valet to the Reception and servers. The room was exceptional, one of the best that I have been in. I was there for a Christmas get-a-way and though there were lovely and tasteful decorations, it did somehow lack the "feeling of Christmas". With two idle baby grand pianos in the lobby, there was no music being played with the exception of piped in "non-holiday" music and TV sports in the open lobby bar adjacent to the dining room. The dining experience was the biggest let down of the entire experience. It is a cavern like setting with a public hall separating the four areas. The only area for a "two top", which as a single diner, I am always seated at and always request not to have a view of the bus station or the kitchen, which forget it. I was front & center to watch guests passing by to the restroom, On one side of the area the diners were flooded out with overhead spotlights and my side was dark. I asked for my candle to be lit and the server came back with the news that they were out of candles. Really...the Westin out of candles at Christmas? The Caesar salad missed mark, warm, wilted and it was served in a warm bowl, With two attempts, I scratched that idea. The server responded appropriately in an attempt to remedy. The Achiote Chicken though flavorful lacked in presentation and looked like the the last, bottom of the pot, tiny pieces (with the skin, yuk)
