Front desk lupita was super rude. I checked in door didn’t open got a new room door didn’t open. I went to tell her bout my door she was frustrated because u know I’m the one tht didn’t shake and kick the door til it opened my bad I didn’t know the trick. She was so quick to want to refund me and get me out the hotel And I didn’t even ask for refund. Everyone in tht place looked as if they absolutely hated their job..

They had an attached restaurant we never got to check out. Apparently this was a good thing for us, as we later found out the place supposedly gets rowdy in the evenings. Several of the rooms all around the property were still vacant but dirty from the previous weeks Gem Show guests. The pool looked gross. The staff was horrible and seemed like English definitely wasn't their first language. We booked a week, but left after the 1st night.

Shabby But Clean, No Amenities

Pros: Good location, and the Angry Crab restaurant next door is surprisingly good.
Cons: Carpets, bed spreads, and curtains should all be replaced. High speed internet would be a huge bonus. They might invest in a few more towels.
The hotel is centrally located, but it's on the highway, so the location is convenient but not pleasant. The key word is "shabby" as everything in this hotel needs to be updated. The room seemed decently clean but one did wonder about the carpets. The bed spread had cigarette burns in it. The wifi was very slow. The exercise room, which is not great on a good day, was taken apart because the gem show was in town. On 2 nights of a 7-night stay, the room did not get cleaned. One day I came home to discover the room had not been cleaned, but my clean towels had been removed. When I called the desk to request towels, I was told that the entire hotel had ONE clean towel available. The staff is friendly enough and attempt to be helpful. There's nothing terribly wrong with this hotel, but it could benefit from a few updates.

The hotel was is a good location, right next to the on / off ramps of the freeway. Close to different restaurants. It had a Gem Show, that was awesome. My only dis was that I got there early and was told I needed to wait till 3 pm to check in, so I sat and waited while other people came in after me and was checked in early. The staff didn’t come and announce that I could be checked in. That mentioned, it was a nice stay.

Friendly staff, awful rooms

Pros: The friendly staff, the cable television, and the swimming pool.
Cons: The cleanliness. It seemed as if the room hadn't been cleaned in a while -- at least not very well. Beds with stains on them are less than ideal.
Location: Decent food options such as Wafflehouse, not a far drive from downtown Tucson Congress St. and 4th Ave.
Initially with GLH Hotel I had known I would not be staying in any sort of luxury given the price and the 3 star rating; however, both my girlfriend and I were taken aback by the state of the room. With the smell of marijuana permeating our walls periodically throughout the night, strange stains on our bed, and a desk that, when wiped off with a paper towel, was discovered to be incredibly dirty. A broken lamp certainly didn't help, but the cleanliness was a major issue for sure. The staff was quite helpful and friendly, I simply wish the state of the rooms was of as much quality as those working at the place. The breakfast was disappointing at best, with very few options, but as above-noted, the real issue was the rooms.

Went elsewhere

We never even went to the room. There was trash and cigarettes butts outside of the front door. The lobby was very shady and dirty. There wasn't any way I was going to sleep there!!!
