The room was ready for maintenance.A lot of paint was peeling off above the shower on the ceiling. Also some modernisation needed including e plugs fitting. The corridor smelt like a restroom. We had intended to eat dinner in the bistro one night but there were no comfortable chairs,it was cold and depressing in there so we went out.Also the menu was on the wall behind the bar and difficult to read.

The check-in was easy and I was given a choice of the room’s floor. The room was big and had a roll around table under the desk, a couch chair and end table. The king size bed was comfortable. There was a small fridge in the room, a tv with HBO, a vanity with sink, and a separate bathroom with a shower tub w/ shower curtain. I didn’t try the breakfast because it was not free. The area is great as it’s close to several restaurants, the mall, and a nearby Starbucks. The first floor room had a patio which made unloading our bags easy. We parked right outside the patio and carried our bags right into the room. This is a nice hotel I recommend it.

When opening the door to the room for the first time time, there was the distinct smell of cigarette smoke. The staff on duty was quick to come in with a disinfectant but housekeeping should have reported the smell then not rented the room until totally cleaned.

The room was very clean as was the bathroom. Staff were indifferent. There wasn’t any shower gel in the shower dispenser, completely empty we had to use shampoo instead. The bed was horrific, old and squeaky. The pillows were very uncomfortable. I purchased coffee and unbelievably it was luke warm! Online says “omelettes available”. That means you can purchase them if you want but we didn’t see any. It was a very disappointing stay. We won’t return
