I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Alberga Alla Posta. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and quite well equipped. My only quibble was that the Sky TV connection was not working, although since I wasn't that bothered I didn't complain! Also for some the variety at breakfast was fairly narrow. The only eggs were hardboiled for example. But nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is conveniently close to transportation options while still being walkable to the town's waterfront. The staff at this property were very kind and helpful. I left early in the morning and was given a breakfast bag for my travels. The breakfast buffet was tasty. Take the no. 6 bus north to the Miramare castle and swimming waterfront options.

What we enjoyed: Helpful respectful front desk staff, a delicious something for everyone breakfast, the location is close to bus and train lines for easy exploration. Our room needed a few cosmetic touch up’s - not a big deal. Would recommend - and want to stay there again!

Kind and helpful staff; most spoke very good English. Our double room with private shower was very clean and had high ceilings with large windows that opened. A/C also worked well. The bedding was firm with extra blankets and pillows in the closet. There were enough large towels for us. A complimentary coffee, tea, cappuccino station was available all day in the breakfast room next to the 24-hour lobby desk. Breakfast options included boiled eggs in shell, meat, cheese, yogurt and toppings, assorted croissants and breads, gluten free packaged snacks, canned fruits, fresh apples, juice, and a toaster was available. Everything we tried was tasty and fresh. This hotel is in an older, well-maintained, elegant building in a busy urban area, very close to pedestrian plazas with many cafés and bars, a supermarket, a pharmacy, etc. My husband and I felt very safe in the area. We walked 10-15 minutes from the train station and 10-15 to cruise port 29. Both walks were on level stone-paved sidewalks. There's a tiny elevator for 2 people with luggage but you must walk up a half flight of stairs to access it. Overall, we highly recommend as a good value, pleasant, quality stay.

Very walkable from train station. Turn the corner and we were on a pedestrian thoroughfare to the canal. So many eateries. And a beautiful sunset on the water way.

Our room was too small. There was no place to sit but at one tiny desk or on the edge of the bed. The shower stall was so narrow that one could not bend down to touch my toes. Literally had to open the shower door to finish washing.
