Great location, good service by the staff. Hotel is very dated & run down..only 1 elevator for the 4 floors. Its a decent stay, not exactly worth the price but its perfectly located for exploring PEC & visiting Sandbanks.

The whole experience was terrible. My husband and I had 1 night away from home without our two young kids. Charged extra for a 1 hour earlier check in. The a/c was broken and our room was 35 degrees. We opened the balcony door to let some air in, door was broken, bugs getting in, noise from the busy road kept us awake all night + the extreme heat. Everything was under construction (pool, slide, front entrance). Everything is old and broken (windows, doors, furniture in the room (broken chair). Bed was hard and uncomfy. We had two couch cushion sized pillows on the bed, asked for more, they wanted to charge us. Wifi didn’t work, we were given another wifi code to use (for hotel use) which also didn’t work well. Balcony had dirt and mould all over it. Bathroom was “ok” could have been cleaned better/ needs updating. The floors in the room were dirty- not well vacuumed. Table tops were sticky. Hardly any plugs to use in the room. We had to move furniture around to access plugs to charge our phones. Only one bedside table so my water/ phone etc had to go on my husbands side of the bed. I can’t stress it enough how HOT it was- it was so uncomfortable and just genuinely a terrible experience. Disappointing anniversary getaway for us- we don’t get many opportunities to enjoy a night away from home. It was a huge huge bummer. 0 stars, don’t spend your money here until they spend money on basic hotel upgrades. Pool and slide were closed too. Lastly, there was a possum at the side door

A few tips for the management: don’t plan renovation works at the main door at chek out Time , the breakfast room should be equipped with an air conditionig system not simply a portable fan. Finally, the control of the air conditioning system in the rooms didn’t work

A Poorly Managed Hotel Unaware of Customer Needs

I have customers all over the world who communicate with me by email. I promise them a response within 24 hours. Four times I went down to the front desk to tell them that I could not get into the internet service. The desk clerk even gave me his personal access codes. It still did not work. The room was weird with no closets just a drape along a wall with your clothes hung behind it. It had what looked like a armoire filling one wall that was just decoration. The bath tub had no mat in the bottom to stop slipping. No glasses were provided in the bathroom. The sink was dirty and placed so low it was down around your knees. Surely the toilet was provided for children not adults. Trying to turn off the air conditioning met in failure. Dropping your luggage off and picking it up at the entrance to the hotel is difficult because you climb a hill and enter on what would be the 2nd floor, then you walk down this steep long hill to where you can park your car. What were they thinking or were they not thinking of customer convenience. The breakfast was just OK. With only one elevator you are going to spend time waiting for it. After staying at a great hotel the previous two nights in Kingston, Ontario that seemed to understand what customers want, this Ramada hotel was a disappointment.

The property is on the harbor so it's got a great view from the harbor side rooms. When we got into the rooms however there was blood stains on the pillows and what looked like dirt encrusted into walls and lampshades etc. The flooring looks like it's been redone and the bathroom looked updated.

Not worth the Free stay

The bad outweighs the good.nobody at front desk for 45 minutes but allowed early checkin since going to beach for the entire day and not using room. No communications returned or acknowledged prior or after stay in any form (manager even hung up on me due to her ego). Incompetent from any hospitality training and doesn’t even do the extra of Wyndham loyalty membership perks. Room was albeit huge 1 bedroom king suite …damp and musty, dated and dingy. Balcony was falling apart with bugs, webs and cheap plastic chairs. Paper thin walls allowed you to hear private conversations in next room and parents using elevator area as a daycare for kids. Greeted by construction in front and further enjoying construction of gas power water jet machine noise of pool area that half the rooms with extra$$ view get (forget about relax on the balcony) Breakfast was overcrowded room of limited choice mostly depleted supply of food not replenished. Indoor pool unheated and chilly View was lovely Park next to hotel was best part Plenty of inconvenient parking for limited mobility people (in winter has covered parking but no access for handicapped) big lol All in all - wouldn’t stay there again and even considering closing Wyndham Platinum level membership Better off with other 3 loyalty programs that treat you better 1. Marriott 2. Hilton 3. Best Western
