"For as historic as the property was it was well maintained. The staff were really friendly and helpful."

"The hotel smelled really bad and to top it off the bed was not made. I asked for fresh linens and the sheets were stained yellow. The fire alarm was missing in the room, the comforter, mattress protector, and towels were also stained. When I was making the bed, there was glitter, what looked like dead bugs, or pieces of skin and pubic hairs. Honestly, the condition of this hotel needs some serious attention. I’m 51 years old and have stayed in a lot of hotels and this is one of my worst experiences. I had a hard time sleeping it was so bad. "

"A very nice little gem nestled in the heart of Blackstone. The rooms were clean and the staff were very responsive when called upon. We were not offered a hot breakfast, in which we were a little disappointed, but if you're looking for a peaceful night or two on a comfortable bed just outside of the local restaurants, then we highly recommend this Inn. ."

"Beautiful scenery, warm comfortable cabin, fantastic host. Really enjoyed our stay celebrating our 20th anniversary. Also highly recommend South Hill just fifteen minutes away. Great shopping and dining experience. "

"The house is larger than it appears in the photos and has everything you would need. We were in town for our daughter's wedding and we filled the house with the Bridal party and our family. There is soo much character everywhere in the house. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were large, the kitchen had every amenity I could ask for. Our POC for the house, Megan, was soo accommodating. The wedding date shifted by 2 months when the military had other plans for her fiancé, and we were allowed to shift our reservation without extra cost. Then we wanted to come in a day early to get ready, so she let us add a day. At the end the wedding wrap up ended late and we asked for late check out, which she again granted. It was a wonderful stay and I'd stay here again, but maybe without the pressures of wedding next time."
