All staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. BUT the shower did not have hot water which they were fully aware of. A note was left to "run water for 10 minutes before showering". We let it run for 20 minutes and it never heated up. Apparently parts have been ordered to fix the problem, but should they be renting the rooms at all until the problem is fixed? They gave us 2 coupons for drinks at the bar to make up for the cold showers. They offered to let us switch rooms but we were only staying one more night. The bathroom was so small, I had to straddle the toilet to open the door. And finally, the carpet squares in the hallway to the elevator were trip hazards as multiple squares were not laying flat.

The staff was fantastic! Our room was not ready and we were surprisingly upgraded to an incredible suite! Everything about the room was amazing: the view, short walk to the rooftop bar, and the balcony!!! I cannot imagine a better room for a week in Traverse City. The only negative was it was surprisingly dirty. Considering the view, the windows really needed to be cleaned and the dust build up on the molding and carpet was disappointing. Overall, our experience at Park Place Hotel was excellent. We will stay there again without hesitation, especially if we can secure a 9th floor suite!

The hotel was great until 8:30 am the next morning. We were shocked awake by about fifteen 7 - 9 year olds running and screaming up and down the hallway in front of our room playing hockey. We complained at the front desk and we were told "very sorry but quiet time ended at 8:30" Apparently they booked our entire floor except our room to some youth hockey team and didn't bother to tell us . We won't be staying at the Park again.

So happy to see Bridg at the Front Desk greeting me. She remembered me & that I had stayed prior to trip to Paris. We had a nice chat. Also the young lady in the restaurant that was working as the bartender was super friendly.
