Room small, very clean, bed very comfortable. At check-in, there was strong smell of mildew at first door, strong chlorine smell at front desk. If you are sensitive to those odors, keep looking. No bad odors in the room, tho. There were only 4 other cars when I arrived ‘way off season, and I specifically asked for quietest room as I had a medical procedure and would want sleep most the next day. But they filled the rooms around me and I could hear others. Wasn't a big problem, but why not leave some space in near-empty motel per request? We arrived at 1:30 for a 3:00 check-in, and he said he would’ve let me in early EXCEPT I had used 3rd party booking and the booker would not allow. So I had to kill time after long drive. Also said booker would collect BY THE MINUTE if I stayed past 11:00 check-out. I have used same company (Travelocity) for over a decade, in many states and Scotland, I have often received early check-in and/or room upgrade without even asking! I always travel in location’s off-season. “No rooms available” in an empty motel would be flimsy enough, but to blame my booking agent seemed shady. In the room, bathroom was clean but needs update, wobbly toilet, screws on shower faucet sticking out, like too long or too loose. Toiletries nice, breakfast very good, did not use pool, excellent in-room local-interest information, welcome cookies nice touch. Off season rate was $63/night, so worth that. But High season rates $300/night, go elsewhere.
