This hotel was so wonderful and funky in the best possible way. The lobby smelled amazing. The rooms have record players and there’s a library on one of the floors with records and books. The restaurant on the top floor has a panoramic view, delicious food, and tasty cocktails. Probably the best calamari I’ve ever had. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The staff was very helpful. Would 10/10 stay again.
The hotel was charming. The rooms clean and comfortable. Both the rooftop restaurant and the bistro had excellent food and friendly staff.
Best of all was the convenience of public transportation. Tram 501 and 505 were close by and made access to downtown very easy.
My husband and I stayed at the Broadview for Valentine’s Day. The staff were friendly and our room was very clean. We had no issues during our stay. We will happily be back again in the future!
The staff were wonderful, and so helpful when we realized we forgot some essential items. They were quick to help. The room was clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, and look forward to the opportunity to return.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Staff was nice, room well appointed. Bed very comfortable! Nice to have the rooftop bar in the evening and breakfast in the morning right downstairs. Quiet.
Shower was good but the door was installed wrong (on the wrong side) so a bit of a crunch to get in and out. The “unscented” body wash smelled like some bad petroleum product - yuck. Didn’t care for the charge of $30 for an hour extra “late checkout” - seemed silly. For these last reasons I leave it at a 4.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Quite noisy for sleeping. Parking was expensive, for desk staff wants very helpful when I asked about the VIP offer from hotels on check-in.
The hotel has been renovated to a high standard. My room had huge windows on 3 sides with a great open view. Food at the Rooftop Bar and Restaurant was excellent - I had 2 dinners there. For some reason, hot drinks are not available there - this is the only downside. Staff were friendly and efficient. Cleaning of my room was to a high standard. The Bistro on the main floor had freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious croissants. Location of the hotel means you need a car although the transit service is good.

Our stay was okay. We booked in the airport because our other hotel fell through last minute. We stayed for 7 days. The room was comfortable but our bedding wasn’t changed for the entirety of our stay. Our room was cleaned daily to a good standard which was nice and we had fresh towels daily.
The staff at reception were not overly friendly as stated in other reviews. The lady who checked us in was really nice, she gave us a 2 cocktail discount for a birthday we were celebrating.
The team in the restaurants / bar were good and very pleasant.
We were stung with a parking bill at the end of our stay which I feel that as we paid 1k to stay, this should have been included. There were nights that we were not able to park in the designated hotel parking spots because of other hoteliers parked inconsiderately.
Overall the neighbourhood was pleasant and we enjoyed the area. It was really convenient to street cars to get into Toronto.
I’m not sure if I would book again but overall it was a decent stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Room was small but did the trick. Cute decor and fun vibe. Clean and tidy. Noise from the hallway seemed louder than other hotels. I was attending an even nearby so location was perfect. Be warned if you’re driving to the hotel parking was a bit of a nightmare. Very hard to find a parking spot.
The room was in good condition.
HOWEVER, there was no USB, or USB-C outlet?
The turn table was of course a nice touch....BUUUTTT...the room was right under the rooftop restaurant....that has a live DJ playing till late.
It would be one thing to let the customer know about that room, or if the customer had a choice.. amongst difference rooms. But this was just given.
Also, this room - right next to the public washroom - for the restaurant..... LOTS of toilet flushing.
The hotel did make up for this...somewhat, but comping the 28$ charged, for outdoor self park. Nice gesture not sure if it was enough?
Anyhow, nice pleasant small room. Not the most pleasant experience.
Oh, and the hotel started asking for feedback 3 hours after check in. I am a tad peeved....
