Great Ueno location, close to station. Room is small, however this is true for all Tokyo hotels. Clean and comfy room and good location. Arrived at 2pm and had to wait until 3pm to check in and wasn’t able to check in any earlier.

Pros: Perfect location. 10minutes to skyliner for narita. In the middle of all the restaurants. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Cons: I first got assigned to 301. Absoluetly no internet connection from my pocket wifi. The hotel wifi is not reliable. Kept disconnected. I went right back and they changed me to 901. Now the pocket wifi was working but the hotel wifi was still bad. Dated old hotel. Need to be refurblished. That said, they kept is very clean. Suggestion: As for high floor rooms otherwise is a great hotel.

Great location, good price and friendly staff. The only thing holding this review from being :) is the fact that the hotel faces a heavily travelled expressway, and the hallways are inexplicably open air. It's not so noisy that it keeps you up, but you still hear the traffic

A little away from the Ueno Station, and accessible to a couple other subway lines. It’s a great place to base out of if you want to experience Tokyo without the extreme business of some of the other transportation hubs. Within walking distance to a number of excellent museums. The room will be small by western standards, but has everything you’d need for a comfortable and private stay.

Awful air conditioning

Air conditioning was horrible. The room was unbearabley hot, it was actually hotter in the room than it was outside. I actually booked another room elsewhere and checked out about an hour after checking in. Staff was nice, but lack of properly functioning air conditioning is a deal breaker in the midst of hot and humid summers.

It is very well situated from ueno station and kesei ueno. The ameyoko market is also close, alot of food choices. The room is ok. The only downside would be that there should be dark curtains to cut the sunlight. It gets very bright early in the morning.
