"Great location for fishing, crabbing and shrimping. Plenty of beds to comfortably sleep up to five. A real cooks kitchen with a gas stove and lots of Magnalite/similar pots. Made it really to prepare the crabs we caught. "

"PROS: Very friendly and accommodating host, great location with great views, good price with a 50 drive to downtown, many rooms and many bathroomsCONS: Firstly, the kitchen is NOT fit for cooking for big groups - we had to bring a lot of our own cooking equipment. Secondly, the vrbo was extremely dirty when we arrived - the host understood and sent out a cleaner, but three of our guests still had to help clean for an hour. There were dead roaches, bugs, dirty linens left by the washer/dryer, unclean bedding that our guests ran through the wash, etc.Overall, we do not regret our stay. It was beautiful to be able to sit by the bayou and enjoy downtown New Orleans in the evening. The host being friendly and accommodating about the situation made things a lot better. We just wish we didn’t have to arrive to a dirty vrbo and help with cleaning. Thank you for the stay! "

"The room was so clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about activities in the area. I wish I could have stayed longer. Room 304 has an amazing view and the breakfast was amazing. I can’t wait to visit again"

"The room was clean, the only issue was that the floors (carpet) felt really grimy and almost damp but not in a “clean” way. The other room issue itself was that there were no extra linens for the pull out couch- which we needed and I had requested on my booking since I had 2 kids with me. Our biggest issues were with the hotel itself: We stayed on the second floor in room 210, we weren’t very close to the elevator but also not too far and we could hear the VERY loud dinging all night long. Another major problem, we stayed on the same floor as the Mississippi valley marching band (they were in town for Mardi Gras Parades) and all night long they were popping their heads out from their doors along the whole hallway to yell back and forth to each other. I confirmed this because I stepped out to see what the yelling was several times. They also used the elevator at all hours to travel to different friends on different floors, contributing to the excessive loud dinging of the elevator. The WORST part about the above, is that at 1-5am every night, the whole floor smelled of weed. I had 2 kids and an infant in my room and it was overtaking our room in a serious way. I had to roll towels and put them on the doorway to keep it from seeping in. We should not have paid to stay here and never will again. My 12 and 10y old asked me several times what that smell was… it was straight up weed. Unacceptable. "
