Great location within The Villages for shopping , activities within The Villages. Management company was excellent in response to some immediate needs ( air conditioning thermostat needed service : windows needed assistance in opening). For a month's rental, bathroom supplies and kitchen sink cleaning dishwasher supplies too limited. Had to make purchases myself for above. No hair dryer supplied .for rental. Nice , quiet neighborhood.

It is in a great location; convenient to shopping and close to two pools. The neighbors immediately adjacent to the house were extremely friendly and helpful. And we are looking forward to returning to the house next year. We needed two small matters attended to and the management company immediately responded to our requests. This was the first time we have spent part of a winter in Florida and the experience we had at the house and in the Villages has left us wanting to spend even more time there next year.

My Rental at 421 Canterbury Court

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house at 421 Canterbury Ct. is in a great location. The house met most of my basic needs. However, the stay scored poorly with some other amenities. Most importantly, the golf cart. The golf cart was broken down most of the time. Requiring multiple repair visits, and never being reliable. When I left, the cart wouldn't go in reverse. It's a 2002. Another big issue is the wifi. One of my apps tested the speed at 8 - 11Gb. Entry level. Zoom calls would break up. It was really slow. For these reasons, I wouldn't rent 421 Canterbury again.

It was not decorated tastefully. There was not even a salad bowl. hardly any decent pots and pans. what was there discusting. The comforters had not been cleaned and had stains. Gross. the carpets were dirty and stained.

Reviewer Comments: On arrival we found the place tidy but however dirty,,,had to clean all the sinks I should say scrub them.There was garbage left in the garage and the garage could have been swept,a lot of leaves The golf cart was EXTREMELY slow, needs new batteries. wifi was good for two weeks, stopped working on our last day, didn’t look into that as we had to leave two weeks early(virus). With all that going on, we are very disappointed that there seems to be no compensation for having to depart early. We had to leave. A lot of the entertainment was cancelled as well(market squares, classes, polo matches etc...we did make ourselves at home, neighbourhood was nice. Very nice people around,,,,our friends homes they rented was gorgeous and for the same price.??????? Would like to return next year but will probably look at a different company for better options.

Reviewer Comments: When we got there I wanted to put my own sheets, when I took the sheet off the mattress cover had 3 stains the size of a grapefruit,I took off and washed it, cleaning brush and container for the bathrooms filty, one should be trown away, bugs at back of bed, sprayed Raid around wall and took cushions off the couch and sprayed next morning got in the kitchen big bug half dead and one crawling in the living room. Furniture very uncomfortable, carpet filty, I cleaned everything before I left I had everything shinny, Manager of Down Home said they would not charge me the cleaning fee. They were very apologetic, and very helpful they called the pest control, green off fence and house cleanedwashed all matts (7)carpet needs to be clean and update furniture if I would of have to stay there for 3 months I would of been very unhappy
