From initial pre-stay phone call through registration to finally checking out, the staff were helpful, informative and friendly. None of our questions and requests were of any problem to the staff, to which they responded promptly and professionally. The room was beautifully presented and the bathroom huge with separate walk-in shower and bath. I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at this magnificent hotel to any friend, relative or casual reader of this review. One minor niggle was the poor mobile reception for the EE network from our room (102). It caused a number of important missed texts before we discovered this issue. As we had 3 members of the family in different rooms, we quickly got around the problem by using the free wifi, which was excellent throughout the hotel and conference facility. Had this anomaly been highlighted on check-in, our missed texts and calls could have avoided. Regardless, it did not affect the enjoyment of our stay, Whilst our interaction with all staff was always good, the front of house staff deserve particular mention, as we had the most dealings with them. Lel was always of great help during our stay, and was consistent in her professional, yet friendly approach to us. Thank you Lel

The property is very dated, the rooms don’t look like what’s shown on website. The spa is again very dated. You have to pay to hire robes and slippers. We went for a spa day and only spent 40mins in there.

The hotel is very tired which I can cope with but sadly it's also not too clean. Spa area was very dirty with ingrained dirt on swimming pool tiles and slimy walls in shower cubicles. The rooms are large and beds comfortable but again, cleaning wasn't very diligent. Breakfast needs attention. Bullet hard poached egg and tough overcooked bacon although I think these issues are partially caused by the very hot serving plates.

Good but not great - have stayed in similar hold/spa hotels for half the cost and had much better experience. Over all it was ok, but that’s all. We were not warned that a Christmas market was taking place during our stay so utter chaos! The room size was nice but tired, worn and dated decor food was good, both dinner and breakfast. (Be warned the plates at breakfasts dangerously hot!) Overall staff seemed a bit disinterested, other than th breakfast staff who were consistently happy and chirpy. The entire needs a thorough cleaning, dirty windows, stained carpets everywhere , marks on walls, bathroom sealant mouldy. And over all rather dated. “Spa” was the most disappointing. Overall dirty and tired. Pool has areas of green on the tiles, bins not emptied, cold poolside showers no shampoo in the changing room showers, under the sauna benches filthy (black/muddy) dirty sinks. And not helped that the no one seemed to bother with the spa etiquette of showering. Plus side - Golf had been enjoyable , even in the subzero temperatures! Also no EV charging on site.

Room was very clean and spacious with comfy beds. Friendly staff and rest of hotel spotless. Breakfast was very nice too . Stunning views from dining area. Very quiet and relaxing stay. Would be nice to have a selection of fruit to help yourself to at breakfast and water stations around howl to fill up bottles.

the room had dust on rails as never cleaned properly. The breakfast glad I never had it on both nights. - for a full breakfast was given half a tomato 1/2 or small tin of beans one mushroom - talk about cheapskate worst than a typical premier inn breakfast I ever had in my life - and to top it all up it was cold - coffee was machine coffee absolutely ridiculous could not even take more than one sipp.. what kind of hotel is this , they marketed it well with nice green picture of outside and location but inside the service food was absolute dismal -never again.

The room was spacious and comfortable, though the bathroom felt a little dated (but perfectly functional). The golf course was fantastic and is clearly the main attraction of the hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient throughout. The spa facilities were fairly basic, with just a sauna and steam room—both clean, slightly dated, but working well. The jacuzzi by the pool was in good condition, the pool itself was lovely, and the gym was well equipped. Dinner was very enjoyable—I had steak and chips, which were excellent. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel and would be happy to return.
