The restored convent and the fine furnishings both inside and outside the property provided an exceptional holiday experience that enhanced our stay in Te Anau. The Host Kym greeted us warmly and was fully attentive and helpful throughout our stay

Kym was amazing, she helped us find the best cruise on Milford Sound, great hikes nearby and a restaurant recommendation. Breakfast was served in the dining room with delicious cold & hot options. A beautiful place, with an interesting history

This was the most gorgeous and quirky place to stay. We loved the heritage features and the creative atmosphere that has really shown off the fact that the owner has a good imagination. Consider a combination of an old convent building, beautiful spacious grounds, and then add a dollop of Alice in Wonderland. We were very happy with our stay in the bishops cottage, loved the location, and will come back to stay here as soon as we can plan another visit to Te Anau.
