The front desk guy was cheerful, helpful and awesome. The main disappointment is the lack of sorting and effort put into recycling. As a tourist, I am trying to minimize my footprint and a hostel is in the position to be setting an example of that.

The room is here perfect, warm comfortable and clean, The owner was absolutely amazing went beyond expectations and let us check in a bit early after a long great walk was awesome Great facilities would be happy to stay again

The code they provided for the front door didn’t work so coming in and out of the hostel after hours was stressful. The kitchen area was quite dirty. Otherwise my room and the shared restrooms were clean.

Good value

Great price, great location. Kitchen is not as clean as when this property was a YHA. It has lost some of its friendly vibe since then. When the other places cost twice as much, stay here.

Great check-in with very enthusiastic staff. Our room was fine, a little dated as you might expect in this type of property but clean and comfortable. There was a problem with drains on the first day, but this was quickly resolved - presumably a result of the property only recently reopening. The communal facilities were good with a great kitchen to use. The property is close to the centre of Te Anau where there are a number of good dining options if you want to eat out, and also a good supermarket.

I had a 2-person bedroom. No separate lights on the beds, only one light on the ceiling. No curtains on the bed for privacy. I only stayed one night but from what I saw: the kitchen is obviously not cleaned every day. The bin was overfull. The tables were full of stains from food residues. The place is good for its location and economical fares. But don't look for any luxury.

立地がよく快適なホステル

バスの発着場所、テ・アナウ湖からとても近く、観光には大変便利なところにあります。チェックイン、チェックアウトもスムーズで、バスの出発まで荷物を預かっていただけました。建物は古いですが、よくメンテされていると感じました。キッチンも広く清潔でした。シングルルームに泊まりましたが、静かで、よく眠れました。ただ1点だけ、枕カバーがあると良かったです。それ以外は完璧です。
