The bed was uncomfortable, Also, I completed a form with flight information, .my telephone number, and account number for transportation for 3, total $197.93 the bus went on the incorrect day, the hotel refused to credit me any of the money towards transportation on the correct day, I was required to pay and a additional $173 all of this before I even arrived in Rome.

Interesting and unique hotel. Very convenient to cruise port in Civitivecchia. Very ornate lobby. The hotel lobby is NOT accessible. One has to climb a very lengthy steep staircase. There is an elevator for luggage but not for guests. Our room had a beautiful view. However, there was no kettle or coffee maker. When i asked about this, was told thst each room had different amenities. I would have preferred a coffee maker to the view. Also, our Air conditioner and several electrical outlets did NOT work. I spoke several times to the front desk staff about this on the evening we checked in. The desk clerk had no idea how to resolve the issue and stated there was no one there to check or fix it. As there was no A C I did not sleep well. The next morning when i went to use the hair dryer after washing my hair in the shower and neither the hotel hair dryer or my own would work in the bathroom electrical outlet or one near the bathroom, I called to COMPLAIN !!! I was furious. The same useless clerk as before came to our room. He didn’t have a clue as to how to resolve the problem. This was now a crisis !! I had to DEMAND that something be done IMMEDIATELY as I needed to blow dry my hair. He called a person from house keeping. A lovely young lady came. She immediately knew what the problem was. There was an electrical breaker switch that needed to be reset. Once she did this, all the electrical outlets worked. Both the Hair dryer and the Air Conditioner worked.

The staff is so friendly, they made us feel very welcomed. The breakfast offering was a great deal for the price. They had a few American foods for breakfast such as eggs and bacon but the entire buffet was great. They make great cappuccino as well. We also had a wonderful dinner at the Bistro.

We booked transfers from the airport to the hotel directly through their website and our bank was charged. The hotel maintained that they had no record of our booking and would not acknowledge proof to their face that the money had been paid and we should take it up with our bank. So we had to make yet another transfer with another transfer company to get to the hotel . Not cool and not professionally handled.
