The staff was friendly and helpful however the rooms were outdated and enjoying the beach when you do not rent their umbrellas nor lounge chairs results with you being told you aren’t allowed in the area of Hilton rentals and had to walk to the shoreline that’s difficult when older and carrying chairs and an umbrella. We were Hilton guests paying for all the amenities but not permitted to be in this area!

I am not one to complain but this I must admit was hard for me to Ignore. So we happened to decide last minute to take our kids on a little vacation to Clearwater. We picked the Hilton because it was reasonable and the room said Gulf view. Well the view was mostly of a black rooftop that was dirty and the constant loud sound of fans blowing from the HVAC system. Do not pay the extra for the gulf view because you can’t really sit out on the balcony. Not enjoyable. Also they were doing construction on the fifth floor while we stayed there. It was loud and very messy in the hall way, also while walking in the hallway my son felt something go inside his flip flop. It was a large screw from the construction, thank goodness it didn’t puncture his foot. If you are going to do construction Hilton on one of your floors maybe you should close it down. Or discount your price for that floor. Shame shame on you.

I really liked this hotel. It was very clean and the staff gave great service. We were disappointed to learn that we had to rent beach chairs and umbrellas to use on the beach. So for 6 of us, it would have cost almost $300 a day to stay on the beach. I think this ridiculous especially when you are paying a resort fee of $35 a day per person. What does that fee go towards?
