Very much enjoyed our stay! The park across the street was cute and it was close to the metro! Would definitely recommend it especially for the price. My only caution would be avoid if you’re an anxious pooper lol. The room had bathroom stall and shower stall in them BUT the toilet was super nice so I’d call it a trade off lol. Would still recommend. Thanks for having us!

Staffs are nice ,but the room 912 is super crowded. Very small. If you travel with suitcase, for two people, must avoid this room! We couldn’t open our suitcases in the same time. And the showeroom design is not reasonable , no matter how tight you shut the door, the waiter is going outside anyway, and environment is noisy. We can easily heard everything passing by. Please re organize the layout of room912. Not worthy for its price at all.

Great location, very friendly and relaxed atmosphere - staff were super helpful. Bedroom was large and bed was comfortable. They were renovating the lobby (which caused no problems for our stay) so it should be even better in the future. Overall, good value - not a high-end hotel but a very comfortable and very convenient place to stay in Taipei - perfect for what we wanted.

There was loud noises from the next door bathroom from certain period other than that sound proofing is not too bad (considering my room is next to the lift). Expect loud water/bathroom noises in the AM and PM whe people return to their rooms. 228 park opposite is known for "night activities" and I have been warned to not walk there alone late at night otherwise it feels safe.

We were assigned a room with loud noise in the ventilation outlet like someone keeps using the hair dryer. What’s worse is we can hear the water usage next door, as if you’re in a shower room. In the cold evening, we can’t adjust the room temperature. The staff explained to us that we can switch to fan mode and adjust the fan only because there is no heating. It’s funny that the panel seems to have all functions. Also the tv volume can’t be adjusted, so we have to bear with the very low volume. None of these were told to us when we check in. Instead the check in lady told us that if we lose our room key we have to pay $500 NTD. We were so disappointed and could not sleep at all at night, and expressed our plan to leave the hotel. Then we were moved to a different room the next day. The noise is smaller but still there. At that time we just want to finish this nightmare and never deal with Check Inn again. I understand the property is old. However, the staff’s “not my fault” attitude really ruined my appetite.

Noisy next door! I think the wall between both our rooms is not thick enough so that the sound proof is bad! The whistling/humming sound from the tap next door was very loud that you can hear it very clearly

The hitel is located very conviniently near Taipei main station and the shopping malls (about 10min walk). It's right next to the National Museum as well which we visited and enjoyed very much. The staff were so friendly and nice! They were very polite and always happy to help. The room we stayed in (2 bed) was not bad either. The shower and toilet was separate which is noce when you arr staying with another person. But for some reason both the shower and toilet doors aren't a door that goes all the way from top to bottom. So you can hear a bit. But what's more was the sound of water (presumably shower) of the next door. It was very loud and if they had showered in the middle of the night, it would have woken us and kept us up until they finished. It was that loud. The noise from the outside was also loud. It wasn't loud enough to keep me awake but if you are a light sleeper, it might bother you. Regardless, it is a very convenient hotel to stay at for its price. In terms of amenities, they provide you with toothbrush, hairbrush, shower cap, cotton buds. There may have been more things provided but I didn't use them as I jad brought my own. They will replenish the stock if you use any of them when they come in for housekeeping. There is a breakfast shop just across the road from the hotel. It was very busy eith locals and tourists alike. The food there was great, we went two days in a row.

The hotel is located about 10 mins walk to Taoyuan Airport MRT at Taipei Main Station, and about 5 mins walk to NTU Hospital Station on the red line. there are buses about 3 mins walk away to Taipei 101 area too. Xi mending is about 15 mins walk away, or a 5 mins bus ride just 4 mins walk away. Hotel room was comfortable with a big TV, nice air conditioning, japanese style auto toilet, good water pressure for shower and constant hot water. The only downside would be the thin walls. I can sometimes hear my neighbour showering or flushing the toilet, and i can hear people talking clearly as my room was located just by the elevator. If the sound proofing was better, it would be so easy to give this property 5 stars, and say that i will be back.

The curtain of our room is dirty and it has stains on it which disappointed me. The size of 2 beds room is good for 2 people but the bed is a bit tiny. Staff are friendly and helpful, and location is convenient which is 10 mins walk from Taipei main station.
