Our room got broken into..

I stayed at Artinn Hotel over the weekend, and on the night of Saturday, February 15, I lost my room key and key holder. When I returned late that night, I requested a replacement key and was charged a fee for it. I assumed the lost key would be disabled immediately, as per standard security procedures. However, on the morning of Sunday, February 16, my companion and I woke up to find our room had been broken into. The hallway light was on, and the lost key was on the floor. In shock and panic, we checked our belongings and discovered that cash, a ring, and a laptop sleeve had been stolen. Security footage later showed an intruder entering our room at 5:50 AM. The police were notified, but recovery of our belongings was deemed unlikely. We were appalled to learn that the night-shift employee failed to disable our lost key—a serious security lapse. The day staff admitted the employee was new and unaware of the procedure. This negligence put our safety at risk. The hotel manager offered a two-night free stay, but we no longer feel safe returning. We believe a fair resolution would be a full refund of our stay, reimbursement for financial loss, and compensation for the distress caused.

Artinn was a great stay for my solo trip to Taiwan. The room was very well priced and very spacious for 2-3 large suitcases to be opened all at once. Arrived on a midnight flight to Taiwan and had no issues checking in upon arriving at the hotel. Amenities such as toothbrush, tooth paste and razors aren't provided but facial tissues are included. Room service is done once every 3 days of stay with staff replenishing tissues and toilet papers, alongside clearing the trash bin. Water pressure of the shower is very strong and heater was working well during the colder winter months. Whilst my room worked for a solo trafeller, it might not be well received by travellers who are travelling in pairs and not in a relationship. Reason being the toilet isn't walled up, thus the frosted glass shower cubicle and toilet cubicle is directly facing the bed. You'd need to effectively shower, dry and put on your clothes all within the 1m by 1m shower cubicle which is made of frosted glass and also doesn't have any lock or hangers built within, only a handle bar on the outside of the glass door (yes, that means you would need to open the door naked to reach for your clothes hanging on the bar outside the door, leaving you possibly exposed in full view to anyone staying with you and sitting on the bed watching TV. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here being a solo traveller and would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taiwan - provided I'm travelling alone again that is.

Good hotel

This hotel is value for money, especially for a family of 4. Cleanliness is normal. The only thing we do not like is that the room does not have a heating system. It can get pretty cold in winter. Otherwise, this is a good hotel to stay in.

Spend your money to a different hotel. The hotel carpet is filthy, curtains are mold, the lobby and the room smell mold. Elevator operates dangerously. Several staffs are not friendly at all.
