Overall, i enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and the plastic tatami-like floor was very nice to walk on and certainly felt more sanitary than carpet. I also appreciated the air purifier, as the AQI was, as often the case in central and southern Taiwan, not great. The main problem I have is that I ended up using the air purifier just as much as a white noise machine as an air purifier. Put another way, the walls are not soundproof. I could hear people upstairs laughing, the TV of the room next to me, and room service repeatedly ringing the doorbell of the person far across the hall from me. One night, around 2 am, a clicking noise started that reminded me of the sound a central air unit will make right before the AC kicks in. Only this clicking went on for at least 30 minutes before I finally fell back to sleep. Also, the bathroom faucet was placed in such a way that I had to try really hard not to flood the entire counter every time I used it. That being said, the shampoo and conditioner were fantastic. I’ve accepted that when I travel, my hair is just going to be a disaster. Yet the shampoo and conditioner here (or the water? Maybe that was also treated) made for decent looking hair on my head. So thanks for that. Also, I always appreciate heated toilet seats.
