Moondance at Tahoe Park simply emanates happiness. With the morning sun illuminating the great room with bright bursts of shine, whimsical wildlife art awakens and welcomes you to the day. Be sure to greet the beautiful buck cast against the moon rising over the lake. Angled wood ceilings, picture windows, and a spacious lot combine to create a light filled, family home. At the entry level, two stone-ensconced gas fireplaces warm the great room and kitchen. The great room is situated for quiet conversational exchanges in front of the fireplace, a competitive board game at the circular breakfast table or the high energy viewing of a favorite sporting event on the 75" TV. The spacious kitchen has an island sink, double oven, griddle and expansive counters for preparing multi-course meals. Outside, the deck has ample space for a BBQ, hot tub and dining amongst the pines. Three of the four bedrooms are on the entry level, with the bunk room on the lower floor. The kids will appreciate their own living area with an oversized bedroom, bathroom, family room, study area and access to the exterior to explore. A visit in the summer is not complete without a trip to the HOA Lake Tahoe Park next to Sunnyside Restaurant. The beautifully landscaped park has a grassy lawn area, beach volleyball courts, basketball hoops, horseshoe pits, bocce ball courts, and a play structure. The lake front picnic tables and BBQs are available to reserve. Down the street from Moondance, Paige Meadows beckons for a visit with its huge area of easy hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer and cross-country skiing trails in the winter. An area that is superb for families and those not wanting a big workout, the zone has very few hills yet offers stunning views of the area and wildlife. In the winter, Homewood Ski Resort is just 4 miles down the west shore for some of the most beautiful views while skiing one can experience at the lake. Regardless of the season, Moondance is sure to become your next happy place.

Winter Driving Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP website.
Summer Patio Furniture Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.
Be Bear Aware Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.

This property is great! It’s located close enough to the lake, but without having to deal with a bunch of traffic. The house and kitchen are well stocked with everything we needed. We look forward to staying here again.
