Tahoe Views & Tahoe Park Access
With conservancy land on three sides offering great privacy and beautiful lake views, you’ll love this centrally located mid-century modern home with prime Lake Tahoe Park Association beach access!
There’s just nothing like the magical west shore of Lake Tahoe and this unique home is the perfect getaway to relax and unwind. Upon entering the home, you’ll immediately be on the main floor, where the living room, dining area, kitchen and powder room are located. You’ll love the vaulted ceilings, built in window seats, and dramatic windows looking out towards the lake and surrounding forrest! The kitchen is fully equipped with an easy-to-clean range, microwave, full-sized refrigerator, and everything you need to make memorable meals during your stay. The main floor also has a 42” Smart TV, Chickering Piano and Circular Fireplace. Experience the cedar-scented air, starry skies and lake views as you cozy up in front of the circular fireplace!
Note that due to county ordinance, we are only allowed to host up to 6 adults but there is room for additional children up to a maximum of 8 total guests. On the downstairs level is a full-sized bathroom, a laundry room and four private rooms (two legal bedrooms with closets, two additional private rooms with beds). There is also a loft area upstairs that can be used as additional sleeping accommodations.
The house has three levels accessed by stairs--the main living area with kitchen, dining room and living room, the upper loft level and the lower level with two legal bedrooms and two additional private rooms with beds (no closets) that can also be used. The loft area above the living room is quite spacious and has gorgeous views of the lake. Please use caution with young children in the loft, where you will find a full bath and a single day bed separated by a closet area from a queen-size (Beauty-Sleep hotel quality mattress) bed. We often receive comments from guests about how nice it is waking up in the loft and looking out on the beautiful lake!
Room configuration as follows:
- Bedroom # 1 - Queen - Bedroom # 2 - Full - Private Room # 3 - Full - Private Room # 4 - Two twins - Loft Area - Queen & Twin Day Bed
The house is located 2.5 miles south of charming Tahoe City and five miles north of Homewood ski area. Other ski resorts, including Palisades and Alpine Meadows are an easy drive. Two miles away is family-friendly Granlibakken which not only has skiing, but also sledding, and a ropes course.
The house comes with passes to the private, gated Lake Tahoe Park Beach Association which offers three acres of amenities including piers, playground equipment, lakeside picnic tables with BBQs and 750 feet of homeowner's-access-only beachfront. This is arguable the nicest beach association in Lake Tahoe and is just a short five minute drive from the house!
One mile up the street, you'll find the trailhead to Paige Meadows. Here, depending on the season, world-class hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing lie at your feet. A paved bike path right down the street leads to Tahoe City--for a leisurely bike ride through the pines. Back at the house, enjoy a BBQ on the deck.
Sunnyside restaurant, Firesign Cafe, West Shore Market, Spoons, and West Shore Sports (a paddle-board and bike rental shop) are part of the neighborhood charm. The central location of the house makes it easy to enjoy everything Tahoe has to offer, without an electrical wire or more than one neighbor to spoil the view!
There is a parking deck that holds two cars. Due to weight and street safety concerns, only two cars may be parked on the parking deck. During the summer months, you can park just off the street in a turn-out right by the driveway. During the winter months, there is no street parking due to snow plow operations, so you’ll need to plan your car situation carefully.
Our housekeepers are paid a living wage. As such, you can enjoy a clean house knowing that no one was taken advantage of to get it that way. The house is set up with linens on all the beds, ample towels, soap and toilet paper in the bathrooms, and towels, dishwasher soap, trash bags and paper towels in the kitchen.
Placer County Short Term Rental Permit # STR23-7812 Booking guest must be 25 years of age or older.
Maximum 6 adults per county ordinance.
Additional children allowed up to a max occupancy of 8.
Community quiet hours from 9pm - 8am daily.
No events or parties. This is not a party house and is best suitable for those looking to enjoy a peaceful time in the mountains.
No smoking of vaping.
No commercial photography and / or filming allowed.
While this house is “pet friendly”, all pets must be disclosed when booking and a non-refundable pet fee must be paid. Maximum 2 mid-size dogs per rental group (any others must be approved by host in advance). Guests agree to take full financial responsibility should there be any damage or additional cleaning required due to pets presence.
There is parking for two vehicles on the driveway and no spillover for additional cars. Note that there is no street parking allowed at any Short Term Rental Property (per county ordinance).
During the summer months, there is some additional parking below on the fire road that is adjacent to property.
Summer access to Lake Tahoe Park Association (LTPA) is governed by the LTPA Board. It is generally a very family / guest friendly environment; however please note that some guest restrictions and / or capacity limitations may apply during busier summer days. Guest Access Cards will be located inside the property and must be returned upon departure. Any unreturned cards will result in a $100 replacement fee per card.
No outdoor fires or charcoal bbq’s allowed per county ordinance. On red flag days, no open flame allowed (i.e. no use of propane grill).
Trash must be properly disposed of within metal bear bin alongside driveway. Do not leave any food or beverages in your vehicle as bears will not hesitate to help themselves to your goodies and can cause significant vehicle damage.
Home must be properly secured (doors locked, windows closed / locked, and bear mats activated) whenever not present in the home.
The road going up to the house is steep. The region is accustomed to dealing with snow, and the road is plowed on a regular basis. That said, it can be slippery and the schedule for clearing the road is not under our control. Carry chains, water, and monitor road conditions for your trip.
The driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 5 inches. They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. You’ll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way).
There are steps that lead down from the parking pad to the front entry door. During winter storms, the stairs can pile with snow and will need to be shoveled in order to be maintained. We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), the stairs may need to be shoveled. There are shovels located beneath the side overhang that can be used by guests.
WINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.

Wonderful House and View
Our family had a wonderful stay. The house is roomy and the deck and view are fantastic. We enjoyed the open well equipped kitchen dining and living area on the main floor. The private Tahoe Park Beach was great with attentive staff.
