Fabulous walkable location in Surfside. The beach is within view and a minute walk to the sand. Directly across from the best bars and restaurants in town, all within a stones throw. The house had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for 8 of us comfortably.

Yearly Best Friend Vacay

We were beyond pleased with this property! The location was absolutely perfect - a block away from the beach & plenty of places to eat & drink just steps away! Overall the home was clean & all the amenities were great. There are a few general maintenance items that could be done, but nothing that negatively impacted our stay & we would def book again! Check in & out was so easy & they were very responsive to any questions I had. I definitely would recommend this property!

Location 10/10

Location couldn’t have been better. You basically have your own personal beach access just beyond the driveway. You can send one person to get a dinner table and they can come back and hang out in the house until the table is ready. Huge perk with little kids. Parking/driveway space was 10/10. Cleanliness upon arrival was severely lacking, although Vacasa offered to send someone out to clean (customer service was 10/10), after having 10 people including toddlers in the house, it was easier for us to do it ourselves. Rinse off beach shower inoperable and lower spigot missing hose, still able to rinse feet but difficult to rinse beach supplies. Would recommend bringing extra pillows and at minimum a throw blanket or two, along with bath towels. Bedrooms were rather large and beds were comfortable. Views were great.

Kitchen furniture and some bedroom furniture need small repairs. There was a nail sticking out of one of the stairs that was never fixed while we were there. The bars across the street on both sides of the house were entertaining however it was hard to go to sleep due to the noise. We were woken up quite early due to the construction on the pier on saturday morning. Overall experience was great though.

Beach House from Hell

Nothing in the house works. AC was dead, refrigerator was dead, washer and dryer was dead. I literally had to rent a room at the adjacent hotel for my infant and wife to stay in, while the rest of the family and I suffered in 90 degree humidity temps inside the house. Renters beware make all of the stuff mentioned above is fixed. Vacasa (property site) was able to get us two near by condos to make up for a horrible East Coast experience. First and last time flying to Mrytle Beach from California!!

Nice location, fair pricing

Very nice, bright and open home with a good view of the ocean across the parking lot. 4 dining and drinking options less than 1 minute walk. Decent shape for the off season NYE period. A few carpet stains, and a crack in the master bedroom door, no wine glasses, but otherwise fine. TERRIBLE TV service. No local channel news, no big 4 network programming, no Football, NHL or anything you might want to see on a given day. Sure lots of movies or streaming if that's what you want, it's not what we were looking for. TERRIBLE remote system, no alpha numeric keys, no GUIDE button, this alone would caution us about returning.

OK Experience

1st time with Vacasa and this unit. PROS: -appreciated the opportunity for the early check in -bedrooms were spacious and beds very comfortable -great parking under the unit to accommodate 3 cars & 1 truck -deck furniture was a huge plus and comfortable for late afternoon cocktails -location was perfect for our needs this year CONS: -sliding door in LR challenging to open/close -10 digit entry code became quite cumbersome -the 1 large cooking pot in the kitchen was missing a side handle & there was no cutting board (that would have been helpful) -upon arrival there was no furnace/ac filter (We purchased and installed) -upon arrival the lights over stove were burned out (We purchased and replaced) -the clothes dryer was heating but not drying clothes (We cleaned out the vent-serious fire hazard) -washing machine kept getting stuck and stopping on the spin cycle(Call was made to report)* -dishwasher-the part at the bottom that spins was off and on it's side upon arrival(Call was made to report)* *Call was made to report issues on Mon morning. Received a text saying someone would come for repairs Thu afternoon between 1-5. No one came. We all left Fri morning so not sure if anyone came for repairs then or not.

Amazing vacation!

This home is so close to the beach with a great view of the pier and ocean! The house was very comfortable with plenty of room to spread out. Surfside Beach has great restaurants and shopping without the tourist crowds of Myrtle Beach. We will definitely be back!!

Appliances not functioning

The garbage disposal and washing machine were broken when we arrived and they were not fixed during our five night stay despite multiple emails promising to contact maintenance. The dish washer was extremely loud apparently missing the sound insulation and the soap dispenser in it would not auto open. Cleaning was not refreshed - dirty towels under bathroom sinks, dozens of spiders all around entry door, algae growing on kitchen sprayer nozzle, 2 dead cockroaches inside upon arrival and 3 live large cockroaches inside during our stay. Walls inside need fresh paint badly and kitchen cabinet door repair had been done with white duct tape instead of replacement and painting. Dryer vent tube was ripped and venting into the house and a toilet was leaking onto the floor (the vent tube and toilet items were the only ones repaired while we were there).

Excellent value and Walk to Everything

Once you park your car, you won't need it much if at all! Walk to great restaurants, pubs, sundries, and beach is steps away. I loved how much sunlight the home has and my bed in master was super comfortable. Two decks to catch ocean views and catch morning and afternoon sun. Plenty of parking and the rental is very spacious. Great spot to listen to live music at nearby local venues and relaxed vacation property!
