We are regulars at this tourist hotel which tends to specialise in bus tours for foreign visitors and older travellers. We use it as a base to visit the Highlands north of Inverness and when we had our dog it was great as it is definitely dog friendly. In general the hotel is a little tired but the bus tourists certainly keep the numbers up. There is a very good Chinese restaurant and a pizza restaurant within walking distance if you want to eat out as the bus tours tend to fill the hotel restaurant. The staff are very helpful and there is often musical entertainment in the evening.

My stay at the hotel was dominated by up to 4 coach groups staying each night, the result of this was that dinner in the evening was fully booked and that if you wanted to have a full choice at breakfast it was better to go after 8:30 when the coach groups had finished eating theirs! Otherwise I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. It would have better if I’d been informed of this situation when I was making the booking

The restaurant was very poor the evening meal was tepid at best and the staff seemed overwhelmed at breakfast unable to keep up with demands of guests. On our 1st day there was virtually nothing left. The second day was slightly better but if there are coach parties it is necessary to arrive before them if you want a reasonable choice.
