We travel a lot for our daughter's competitive softball team, and whenever we play in Stockton, we always stay here. The manager greets us by name and is very friendly. The rooms are excellent because they have two TVs—one for the parents and one for the kids. The complimentary breakfast is quite good for a free option. We love staying here, and the location is fantastic!

Falsely advertised, gross, and poorly maintained. The “suite” is not that, it is instead an adjoining room with no shared common spaces - both rooms of which are dark, dirty, and dingy. The staff was very kind and recognized that I was correct in that the room was misrepresented and moved me to a new room with common area…well a chair and table. The new room unfortunately was dark, smelled weird, and had both dried boogers on the wall and mold in the shower. The ceiling fan, which I’ve never seen in a hotel room, was really dusty and dirty. The corridors were very dark and a bit sketchy as well, the stairwelll was filthy and the elevator did not seem to be in the best condition. The surrounding area was also not the best. Also a first, I was told to keep the room key away from my phone and debit cards as it would stop working. I was unable to stay there and promptly booked another hotel elsewhere. I have never left a review on this site before, but considering I am left to FIGHT for a refund, I felt it prudent to do so. I was told I would not receive a refund, and have yet to be refunded the refundable deposit and late checkout fee as well. I called and asked to speak to a manager who never returned my call. I have involved my attorney and am patiently awaiting a call back. The only positive thing was that the guy behind the front desk was very kind and did his best with what he was working with.

Best Western Manteca (2025_Sep)

Based on my overnight stay (Sep_2025) it would be difficult to recommend this hotel (Best Western Manteca, CA) to almost anyone. The facility has seen better days. Check-in (booked well in advance) was unusually confrontational for no apparent reason. The room was clean but substandard. The noisy AC unit was ear-plug friendly. Their main clientele appears to be on-the-road construction workers. The exercise room (next to the pool) was modest, but had a good weight machine. Breakfast buffet was good. Check-out was not a problem, but seemed more like an escape. {note: email from facility indicate proprietor has not charged for the 1 night stay. }

However, being next to the interstate and busy Yosemite Ave caused some disturbing nights with sirens multiple times throughout the night and the loud pipes on cars/trucks who seem to rev up at any time through the night. Another inconvenience is the deactivation of the key card. We were told to not put it near other cards, keys, etc. Sony take is the the guests has the responsibility instead of the hotel just investing in better key cards as we have only had this issue here. Otherwise, we stuck it out and tried to enjoy our visit. It wasn’t terrible.
