Originally started as a summer resort destination, Steamboat has become renowned for its world-class skiing and mountain biking options. And your Steamboat vacation rental will put your family in the middle of it all.
Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, biking, sledding and fishing. The city houses two ski areas – Steamboat and Howelsen Hill, Colorado's oldest continuously operated ski area. Or simply play in the smooth, dry snow, referred to as Champagne Powder, for which Steamboat is known.
Mountain biking is huge in Steamboat. Known as Bike Town USA, the city has trails for all ages and skill levels. Hundreds of miles of single track, as well as over 50 miles of downhill and freeride terrain.

We had an amazing time at this property. Great location! Plenty of space and comfortable beds. The shuttle was an added plus that made it so easy to get to the mountain.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this house. The house was clean, well-stocked, and the property manager (iTrip) was extremely responsive. The house itself is dated, but everything at the house worked fine during our stay. We liked the location, but unlike as is mentioned in a prior review, the house is not on the bus or shuttle line. When we reserved the house, iTrip did point out that the shuttle was no longer running to this location, so we weren't expecting a shuttle. It's too far to walk to the Meadows parking lot or to the bus stop, so you have to drive to park at the Meadows or drop off skiers. Steamboat had unusually warm weather this March (60s and 70s), and the upstairs bedroom did get fairly hot if we didn't close the blinds and then later open the windows in the late afternoon (in March!!!). Overall, we'd give this house an 8/10.

Perfect Home!
We stayed just over a month and couldn't have asked for a better setup. The location is unbeatable — less than a mile to the main shuttle parking lot, which honestly made getting to the mountain easier than driving to the base. Once we figured that out, we never looked back.
The home itself is exceptionally well organized and appointed. Whoever stocked this place clearly thought it through — high-end knives, great kitchen accessories, and everything you'd actually need for a longer stay, including cleaning supplies and all the essentials. No scrambling for basics.
The layout works beautifully, especially if you're hosting friends. The lower bedrooms gave guests their own space while the top-floor primary suite served as a genuine retreat — private, quiet, and waking up to a direct view of the mountain every morning never got old.
Bathrooms were spotless and well appointed throughout. For a month-plus stay, that matters more than people realize.
The community and surrounding area added to the experience in a big way — it's the kind of place that pulls you back.
On the management side, iTrip was impressively responsive. We had two minor issues — dead batteries and a CO detector that needed swapping — and both were handled quickly and without any hassle. Exactly what you want when you're living somewhere for an extended stretch.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a well-run, thoughtfully stocked mountain home with a location that genuinely delivers.
